DESCRIPTION:Meg's eyes are narrow and blue, with heavy eyelids.Her hair is light blonde in color; she usually wears it down, past her shoulders and wavy. Meg is lean by nature, with a few exceptions. The slimness in her arms and legs makes the little muscle matter she generates stand out. Meg also has an exceptionally round face with baby-fat cheeks that never quite went away. Beyond all that, she's long and tall. When standing, she appears "dangly" and never quite knows what to do with her arms.

Meg has a bit of a snaggletooth in her upper row of teeth; she only occasionally smiles with her teeth showing because of it. She prefers a hearty, open-mouth laugh, anyway. She prefers comfortable clothing she can move around in, but can clean up quite nicely when the situation calls for it.




POSITIVE TRAITS:A mind like a catalog for details, a good sense of humor, open-minded, gentle, surprisingly capable of heavy lifting.
NEGATIVE TRAITS:Doesn't take much seriously, afraid of the dark, too-loud voice, rubbish at keeping the indoors clean, grudge-holder.

HOBBIES:Gardening, conversing, drinking, the outdoors, sleeping, listening to the radio, reading.
GENERAL PERSONALITY:Put simply, Meg is a jovial character. She loves life - all lives - and she loves her job. The outdoors is her happy place, and no matter the weather, if she's out she's laughing. She's a friendly face and is always up for a chat, whether with an old friend or a new stranger. Her open nature can put her at risk, however. She gets excited easily, wants to do everything, and has trouble saying no. This sometimes leads to her neglecting what she needs to do in order to do what she wants to do at the moment. It also leads to a little bit of trouble with the drink.

Beyond that, though, Meg is a hard worker. Whatever she shivs off today, she will work double-time tomorrow to finish. She has an eye for detail and takes honor in the quality and accuracy of her work as well as her personal life. She remembers all sorts of tidbits and facts and can recall them at will, everything from the proper way to pick a tomato to the day and time of her good friend Elise Allyn's birth. Meg loves to use this ability to make people feel special, by remembering little things about them. It also helps marvelously in her work, which is both wide in expanse and deep in knowledge. Meg is also a gentle creature, deep beneath her dirt-caked fingernails and loud voice; she genuinely cares about what she does and the people that populate her life. Because of this nature, Meg expects other people to treat her the same way, and she absolutely hates being betrayed. If someone hurts her, Meg has a very hard time forgetting it. She's not one for much revenge, but it will show in her face.

Character History:Meg grew up surrounded by family at their little country compound in England. The first years of her life were idyllic; she lacked a mother, but had more than enough people to take care of her. The Ashland adults tried their best to create as normal a childhood as possible for all the kids, including Meg. They sent the kids off one by one to Hogwarts. Meg was one of the youngest kids in the family, and when her time came to attend school, she was beyond ecstatic to experience what her siblings and cousins had.

Meg greatly enjoyed her time at Hogwarts. Even with the presence of Voldemort growing over them - even during the really terrible times - Hogwarts was always a home and safe place for Meg. Its very walls were comforting and, perhaps, motherly to her. She did not succeed in classes or competitions, but Meg had plenty of friends, plenty of boyfriends and the occasional girlfriend, and plenty of good times.

After Hogwarts, with Voldemort defeated once more, Meg felt free. She didn't have to keep her head down. She could interact with whoever she wanted without much fear - and that she did. She took the perfect job for a girl like her - having come from a long line of bartenders - and has worked at the Three Broomsticks pretty much since graduation.
