DESCRIPTION: Clarisse is a picture of perfection. She would never be seen in a hoodie or slouchy jeans, all of her clothes are form fitting and her hair is never less than immaculate. It is incredibly rare to see her laugh, she mostly shows amusement with a slight eyebrow quirk, or express any other type of emotion besides her neutral confidence. Although, she does occasionally allow herself a small smirk normally when she's proved somebody wrong or has been congratulated.

GENERAL PERSONALITY: Clarisse puts up a cold and calculating front but is very insecure. Due to her family's perfect nature, she has incredibly low self esteem and always pushes herself in the hopes of gaining her mother's attention and love. She has a lot expected of her at home as her father's eldest child, but she's not afraid to rebel against her family's wishes to be happy. Her mother is very vain as is she and most of the other members of her family, besides her eldest sister Yvonne. She has also learned the art of manipulation from her mother and will often outright lie to people's faces to get them to like her or do what she says. Very intelligent but also quite lazy - though she daren't admit it - if she doesn't want to do something, she will not do it. Incredibly stubborn and doesn't make friends easily as she is difficult to get along with but will defend those she considers friends until the bitter end.

Character History: Clarisse Eugenie Marie Addington was the first and fourth child respectively of Charles Frederick Montgomery Addington and Emmelina De La Rouge, born on the 4th of August 1984. Like her sister, she was never particularly close with or fond of her mother although she saw her a lot more than her sister did when she was growing up. Her father had remained cold and distant as she grew up, never showing her an ounce of affection. The closest thing she had to a parent was Lilly Cadwell- the family governess and, after Clarisse's birth, full time nanny.
Clarisse was a plucky and adventurous child in the word's of Lilly but was un-ladylike and unruly in the eye's of her mother. She enjoyed playing outside and make pretend as well as rough and tumble with her older brothers. At the age of five, Emmelina hired Clarisse a ballet teacher in the hopes of her becoming more of a presentable child. Though the girl took to ballet, it did not stop her from finding frogs in the pond and ruining expensive gowns. Emmelina reached the end of her teather when she discovered her daughter was keeping a wild mouse as a pet and demanded that Lilly teach the girl some manners.
At the age of six, Clarrise had her first instance of magic. It was then Lilly revealed her true identity as a witch who had left the wizarding world behind after Lord Voldemort's death eaters slaughtered her family. She told Clarisse that what happened had to be their little secret and begged the girl to at least try to do what her mother wanted. Very, very reluctantly the little girl agreed and she set her mouse, Pierre, free that night.
Clarisse was raised bi-lingual. In fact, the only time her mother spent time with her was to teach her french. She said it broadened the mind and gave her a romantic edge- whatever that meant. She enjoyed speaking in the language to her older sister, it was like a secret code. Her interest in language developed as she got older and by the time she was nine she was learning three different languages simultaneously.
At the age of eleven, Clarisse received her Hogwarts letter which was cleverly hidden from her mother by Lilly. Lilly gave the girl the option to stay at home or to go and Clarisse chose magic. Lilly fought tooth and nail for the girl to be allowed to go and eventually Emmelina agreed so long as Clarisse didn't fall behind in muggle subjects and continued with Ballet. For the first three years at Hogwarts, Clarisse follwed her mother's request. She studied magic with the other students in the day time and in the evening, she studied maths, english, science, latin and of course her languages. She also rehearsed ballet three times a week in her dorm. By her fourth year however, Clarisse had had enough. The stress had gotten to the poor girl and so she wrote a rather angry letter to her mother stating that she could disown her for all she cared, she wouldn't leave Hogwarts and she wouldn't continue her private study. Her mother didn't write to her for the rest of the year and when she returned home for holidays she avoided Clarisse even more than usual.
Part way through her fourth year, she recieved a letter from her older sister telling her that she was running away. It turned out that Yvonne had secretly been courting someone. Someone scandalous: a working class woman. Emmelina had found out and was furious so Yvonne told Clarisse that she was truly happy with her partner, Olivia Johnson, and so she had decided to stay with her for a while. She promised to try and keep in touch as much as possible. Clarisse was confused by the letter, she didn't even realise women could court other women. She didn't reply to Yvonne's letter but still has it locked in her trunk. Yvonne never wrote her again.
After her sister's disappearance, Clarisse contiunued to work hard at her classes. She had few friends whilst at Hogwarts but her beauty and regal attitude caused her to be dubbed "The Gryffindor Princess". Though this started mockingly, Clarisse gladly accepted the title turning up to the yule ball in a red gown with a ruby encrusted tiara. She had several rats whilst at Hogwarts who she took very good care of. She was often seen walking down the corridor with one of her rats sitting on her shoulder.
Clarisse did exceptionally well in her OWLs and NEWTs which didn't impress her mother but Lilly was very proud of the girl. She moved out of her family mansion aged 18 and managed to get a placement as an Auror-In-Training. To pay the bills, Clarisse began modelling and found she enjoyed it greatly. She now works as a part time model for Witch Weekly and owns two ferrets named Chloe and Louis.
