DESCRIPTION:With jet-black hair and his mother's eyes, Harry is rather... pretty...When not hunting down Death Eaters or traipsing through the wilderness, of course. He has many scars, notably the lightning scar on his forehead and 'I must not tell lies' on his writing hand, and is accumulating more. It is rare to find him without dirt or blood on him somewhere, and impossible to find him without messy hair. Story of his life. Generally wearing a determined expression, the look in his eyes (as green as a fresh-pickled toad) is one of tempered wisdom, though he'll admit (after Hermione humbles him a bit) that he still has a lot to learn. His posture is straight and easy, confident, with the ability to quickly become tense and ready for anything. He's gotten into the bad habit of messing up his hair 'like James', too, though this is combined with the habit of ducking his head in embarrassment.




POSITIVE TRAITS:Loyal, courageous, brave, selfless, tries to do the right thing, strong will and very strong sense of self, kind, empathetic, talented at DADA and Dueling but generally above average in magic in general, leadership skills, excellent Seeker, incredible ability to sass, good instincts, loves unequivocally and fiercely.
NEGATIVE TRAITS:'Weakness for heroics', not very forgiving, occasionally prone to bouts of arrogance, impetuous, will often whinge about being expected to save the world but actually would be lost without that kind of purpose, may dismiss concepts or ideas he doesn't see as useful or relevant, slightly obsessive (but only about things he finds important), stubbornly independent.
LIKES:Treacle tart, his chosen family, Quidditch, food, feeling like he belongs, when people he cares about are safe and happy, love, Thrilling Heroics, sweets, cuddling, sleep.

GENERAL PERSONALITY: (And you thought the above points were long...)
It would take more than one paragraph to narrow down the mass of personality which is Harry Potter. Everything about his personality is rather intense (except for his motivation to study, thank goodness he's not in school any more), from how deeply and unequivocally he loves his family and friends, to his very strong sense of self, to his masses of bravery and loyalty. However, such strong positives result in equally polarizing negatives. His tendency to yell at others when angry has been somewhat reduced since his fifth year, but he's still incredibly stubborn, often unforgiving, very obsessive and prone to impetuosity... to name a few things. People like him anyways (well. Some people. 9/10 Death Eaters would not agree), and once cemented in his mind as family, friend, or even part of a likeminded group like the DA or OOTP, you have the force of his not inconsiderable personality behind you.
Since the death of Voldemort, Harry has matured in many different dimensions, and has even been able to cultivate a more lighthearted side without the threat of his life ending due to obscure prophecies and crazy Dark Lord. He's a hard worker (though often dives into situations on instinct and not logic, which leads him to St Mungo's more often than not), a firm friend, a bright Aurror, and has a quiet love of life that's part of his very bones. Dying once will do that to you, I suppose.

Character History: Harry's history is well-known. So much so that there could be books written on him... or several...
Poor jokes aside, Harry's history begins in a small family that was full of love. The first year of his life, though permeated with the worry and tense atmosphere of the First Wizarding War, was a happy one, until his parents were killed by Voldemort and Harry chucked on the Dursleys' doorstep as a result. The next ten years were far less pleasant, until he met a half-Giant named Hagrid on his 11th birthday, who burst down the door, gave his cousin a pig's tail, and told Harry he was a wizard. Life improved considerably after that, despite the many near-death experiences and Death Eater encounters that littered his growth. With his two friends by his side, Harry was reasonably certain he could handle anything that came at him. As he grew, the Incidents became more and more dangerous, but he and his friends rose to the challenges. They survived Umbridge, founded a secret DADA society, smashed through the Ministry more than once, fought off Death Eaters, hunted Horcruxes, fought off more Death Eaters, did some soul searching and finally, finally, Voldemort was dead.

The trials were far from over at that point, however. After a few days to recover (he had technically died, after all), Harry, Ron, Hermione and the rest of the Order were right back into dispelling the Death Eaters and their stranglehold on the Ministry. For the first year after the battle of Hogwarts, he was neither learning nor working, instead a full-time Order member/lieutenant while they struggled to return the Wizarding world to equilibrium. At that point, Harry accepted the offer of becoming a full-fledged Auror in the Ministry. Far from taking him from the conflict, it ensured a front-row seat in many events, such as the attacks on Slytherin households, Knight Bus hijacking, Azkaban riots and following Death Eater outbreaks... and more. He began dating Ginny Weasley in the December of that year, after an awkward kiss at Christmas, and has been with her ever since. Currently, he is working as an Auror, working for the Order, living at Grimmauld place, and also trying to have as balanced a life he can in the midst of the turmoil. At least he's got the other 2/3 of the Golden Trio at his side - he couldn't do any of it without them.
