Hey Dad, Thanks for the herbal tea pack. I feel much better now. (*´∀`*) And I still feel shameful about getting homesick like this. Food is great here, prepared by these 'little people' creature called house-elves, but your handmade mocha muffin is still the best. Halloween is coming up soon, and it'd be two months since I started at Hogwarts. I'm doing okay so far, and even joined the Quiz Challenge in the Interhouse Tournament thingy. Well, because I can't join Quidditch until next year, so I can only contribute with my head instead of body. Speaking of Quidditch, I'm thinking of trying out as Chaser. My third-year friend, Donald, is vying for the Seeker position. Not that I'm running away from the challenge, but I just don't feel like fighting over something so insignificant with a senior. 'Sides, it's not really up to us to decide on who gets the place. That's up to the Captain's wisdom... which I hope he or she has one, whoever that person is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Eh, with me in the Quiz I've even lesser time to juggle with stupid school work, so I'll end my babble here. Off I go, Miyu P.S. Can you send me mails and packages from home using owls instead of Gin? Because people keep giving me weird looks - some girls from my year even cornered me and asked where I got such a pretty bird. P.P.S. Send me some Halloween-themed mocha cupcakes and let me sober up for losing in wizarding chess to a Slytherin. Notes:- Letter is written in Japanese.
- Part of his signature is botched up with a chocolate footprint of the school owl.
- "Gin" is the name of his parents' pigeon. It means silver in Japanese.

Hey Son, I'm actually amused that you're starting to feel homesick when it's only more than a month since you left home for Hogwarts. Boarding school life can take some time to get used to, but I have a feeling you're probably having too much fun fooling around, poking at the edge of the rules. It's surprising to know that you do try to participate in school activities and not delegating to the sidelines as you'd usually do. I wish you and your team all the best. On the other hand, don't neglect your studies for fame. You know that Mum won't forgive you if your grades are unsatisfactory by her standards. I am aware that you can only join the Quidditch team from second year onwards in Hogwarts. I'm happy to see you having an objective and clear mind towards the wizarding sport, rather than turning into those problematic, pushy fanatics that have no self-control. No matter which position you want to go for, I'll support your decision fully. I don't mind mailing you as much homemade confectionery as the owl can carry, but in exchange why don't you send some interesting things from Hogwarts to us? Your Mum wants something meaningful to keep as a memento. Don't ask me why - I don't know, either. Be good, and take care of yourself. Yours, Dad Notes:- Letter is written in Japanese, yes.
- The parchment is attached to a package containing pumpkin-shaped chocolate cream puffs - by owl, of course.

Dad, Thanks for the cream puffs - they were great! (♥ω♥ ) ~♪ Don't worry too much about me... I swear that I've been a good boy. I mean I tried to, yeah. School is fun and hectic at the same time, but home is still the best. Not counting the bit that I've to help out at the cafe like a slave.To be really honest, I joined the Tournament for my own sake, not for the school or whatever (they said it was to encourage harmony between the different houses, but honestly most of them were in for personal fame, I bet). I don't like people looking down on me - because of my size and age - and I want to show them that no one should ever judge a book by its cover. I'm just a fun-sized, concentrated ball of awesome too much for those unworthy ones to handle, that's all.I'd love to have a go at this crazy wizarding sport if I get the chance to be in the house team, but what about Mum? I'm not sure if keeping my grades afloat is enough to make her bend her iron will... And I don't want to see you two quarrel over a mere ball game on broomsticks. Sure, but I can't visit the wizarding village Hogsmeade until the Third Year. Maybe I can get my senior friend Donald to buy some stuff on my behalf or I can simply nick a few things from Herbology class. I'll see what I can get my hands on - you can look forward to them! Signing off, Miyu P.S. I need moar cream puffs. And I'm not gonna share them with anyone, just no. Notes:- Attached to the letter was a parcel containing some smoked turkey legs he got from the house elves in the Kitchen, and an auto-correct quill he had stolen from the caretaker's office.

Son, I have known you well enough to know that what you said were the opposite of what you actually felt. Well, as long as you're able to overcome the unfamiliarity of the school environment and enjoying your student life at Hogwarts, I guess I don't need to worry too much about you. (Provided that your grades are still up to standard. Just don't turn your first summer break into a cold war with your mum.) Regardless of their motives, always remember: "A man's pride can be his downfall, and he needs to learn when to turn to others for support and guidance." Quoted from Bear Grylls, a British adventurer. He was that young guy who got invited to go on American talk shows about an upcoming expedition to cross the Atlantic Ocean... or something along this line, I can't really remember. If you really have the passion to do Quidditch, as long as you continue to excel academically, it won't be that difficult to coax her into allowing you to pursue your dreams. She isn't as hard-headed as you think... I think. Well, she will understand that our role as parents is simply to shower you with all the love and care we can give, to nurture you into a fine adult, not to force our ideals on you and treat you like our obedient puppet. You mum decided to step up your onmyodo training. You'll be fine if you are diligent. A heads-up that if you slack off too much, do be prepared to spend your vacation on spartan drills with her. I'm sure you wouldn't like that, hmm? Love, Your Dad P.S. Sharing is caring. Though, I guess this probably applies to good food only. Notes:- Attached to this letter are the following items:
- A box containing four cupcakes covered with dark chocolate icing, decorated with bits of white chocolate shaped like maple leaves;
- A handwritten notebook on Onmyodo spells and techniques by Yuko, with a post-it note on the cover to remind Miyu not to forget about practicing the Eastern magical art on top of learning Western magic in Hogwarts;
- A stack of pre-drawn paper charms.
