DESCRIPTION: Gabriel finds himself very handsome.. He's got a blue eyed baby face which he unsuccessfully tries to negate with a nose piercing, something he thinks makes him look sort of rugged and cool Gabe has a chronic affliction known as Resting Bitch Face but when he does in fact smile, it's known to light up the room.

He takes great pride in his personal appearance and has a Diva-esque self care regiment for his skin and hair, blessing him with a clear complexion and a healthy head of dirty blonde hair that many girls are green with envy over. Gabriel is a bit of a trend chaser and favors No Maj fashion over wizarding robes any day of the week.

GENERAL PERSONALITY: Gabriel is the classic only child who isn't good at sharing his 'toys'. He learned to be independent and self sufficient from a young age and prefers to work alone. This often comes off as standoffish but he generally has a warm and friendly personality, if not just a touch arrogant. Gabe is always striving to be liked and to make a good first impression which can often work against him as he tries too hard. He is confident to the point of arrogance and believes he deserves the finer things in life but he's not above working hard to get them. He does believe that his intelligence gives him a license for biting sarcasm and witty remarks, sometimes at the expense of others.

Despite the more thorny parts of his personality he does have a passion for people and a deeply rooted protective streak. That coupled with his desire for glory and a little bit of adventure make him an ideal auror. His moral compass can sometimes go a bit crooked as he feels that the end result is what's important, not necessarily how you get there. He does feel reluctant and remorseful when he bends his morals but Gabe will do what he feels needs to be done.

Character History: The Bishops were your average middle class American family. Elisabeth was an office manager and Todd did something in finance, they had one child who they loved dearly but often found themselves too busy to pay attention to properly. From an early age Grabriel was a latch key kid. He would walk himself home from school, make a snack and get started on his homework. Eventually his parents would hustle in, prepare dinner and send him off to bed. This led to a rather lonely childhood and as Gabe grew up, he developed a need for attention and a strong desire to be liked by those around him.

One day his normal, lonely childhood changed forever and he received notice that he wasn't your average every day American boy, but a wizard and was accepted into Ilvermony. It was a wild experience,wands and magic were real! Gabriel was dazzled by it all. When he arrived at the school, he was sorted into Wompus by way of a knot and a statue that roared. The child who previously spent a large amount of his time alone suddenly had more children to play with than he could count on his fingers and toes. Most found him charming, if not a little self absorbed. He was so busy telling everyone how wonderful he was and why they should want to be his friend that he forgot to learn humility.  Still, he did rather well in school with good grades and a degree of popularity among other students.With his own group of friends, Gabe figured out he didn't like when others were mean to 'his people' and would often go out of his way to stand up for them or to get revenge for them.

When he graduated school he sought out a job that he thought would bring him praise and give him good stories to tell in the bar afterward. He made a decent auror although his partners would describe him as reckless and single minded. The real trouble in the wizarding world was overseas in the UK, Voldemort was trying to rise to power again and life in the US was quiet in comparison. Occasionally a fanatic would pop up, claiming that they intended to bring Voldemort's ideals and work to US soil but they were quickly dealt with.

The quiet life bored him and Gabe wanted desperately to transfer overseas and settle in London, to join the fight against the darkness but he was relatively young and new as an auror and never got the approval. Voldemort fell, and the wizarding world as a whole experienced a time of peace. In 2002 Gabriel recieved news that his parents had died in a car accident and he felt completely and utterly alone in the world. He grew more reckless, more daring, feeling like he had nothing to live for but his duty to protect the citizens of the American wizarding world. One night on patrol he and his partner happened upon a group of wizards who were terrifying a No Maj, they were out numbered but Gabriel insisted they take them on in a duel and refused to call for back up. His partner was seriously injured and there was a hearing which found him to be negligent. His punishment was being banished to desk duty.

Gabriel was miserable at the desk. His talents were better suited for the road, and he had the greater good in mind when he pursued the criminals. They had to be stopped and calling for back up might have allowed them to get away. Luckily a spot opened up in the British Ministry for an auror, right after a full moon and Gabriel somehow managed to snag the spot and set out for London immediately.
