It was difficult being stuck in the school for Christmas. However this was the situation that Don and Amy were in for this Christmas period. While the school did try it best to keep the students entertained for the most part, Donald still felt that they could use a bit more excitement, a bit more fun in the activities they did during the winter period. There was some trepidation however in what he was about it do.
The 13 year old was ever worried that he might be getting into trouble for doing this and he hated getting into trouble. Some might call the Ravenclaw a teacher’s pet, or a swot for being such a good-goody most of the time but that was just the way that the young boy was. However, in this case, he was making an exception. He really hoped that he wouldn’t get into trouble though. Besides it was probably too late to back out of what he was about to do now.
The third year drew out his wand and considered that he wouldn’t be able to do this if he was back in Wales. Maybe one of the advantages about spending Christmas in an enchanted castle was the ability to do magic. That and the snow. The Welsh wizard conjured up a snow fort for the snowball fight that he had tried to organise. Being a magical fort it was two floors high, and a reasonable size. It had for turrets and a battlement on top. Donnie admired his handy work for a minute with a small grin on his face. It was pretty impressive if he said so himself.
He entered the fort and made his way to battlements at the top. He surveyed the surrounding area and wondered if anyone else would show up? If they did he would let them build their own forts. He was a good sport after all and it would be deeply unreasonable of him to attack have an unfair advantage. All the spiky haired boy could do now was watch and wait to see if anyone else showed up.
