DESCRIPTION: Up until recently Kala was an average child. The last full moon left the child with scars decorating her small body. Three thin scars start just under her left eye and cross down her chubby, dimpled cheek. Her left shoulder is a mess of angry red scars and teeth marks, often hidden by her long brown hair. A final set of scars run down her back. Despite the ugly marks marring her skin, the child is often found with a smile on her face.

GENERAL PERSONALITY: Chandra is sugar, spice and mostly nice.  She is known for her sweet demeanor, as long as she's getting her way. The child doesn't respond to the word 'no' very well and is quick to anger. Her temper ranges from quiet sulking to full on throw-yourself-on-the-ground tantrums although she is easily distracted from her anger and doesn't often hold grudges. Her intentions, while frequently selfish, are rarely malicious and she likes to make herself useful and help others, especially adults as she enjoys the praise she gets from them. Ana is happy as long as she's the center of attention but gets jealous very easy which is likely to lead to a meltdown.

Character History: Chayana was born early one unusually cool February morning in the Bengali city of Kolkata/Calcutta. She is the third and last child of Saniban and Amaal, an incompatible couple who somehow managed to make great parents. Their marriage was frought with tension and arguments. Amaal was free spirited but stubborn, two traits that both enchanted and frustrated a very rigid Sanji. Despite their many differences they were determined to stay together until Sanji was caught in a moment of weakness and began an emotional affair with a witch at work.

Devastated, Amaal left him and moved to her family's home with Ana, leaving the boys behind as they were away at school. After several weeks of radio silence and separation the two began to reconcile. Amaal was to visit her sister in England before moving back home with her husband. Ana was meant to be left behind but she found the idea of England and traveling to other countries to be exciting and begged to go until her parents caved in. They paid little attention to the warnings from the Ministry about the werewolf problem plaguing the wizarding UK, Amaal's sister assuring her that it was all overblown alarmism.

One evening Chayana had snuck out to play with children in her aunt's village. The sun went down and the children went home, leaving Kala to get lost on her way back home. Her aunt and mother braved the newly risen full moon to go look for her, unbothered enough to leave their wands behind. Ana always thought of herself as brave and managed to mostly keep her head until a series of howls in the distance unnerved her. She sprinted through the streets, calling out for her mother in vain. The small girl rounded a corner into a grisly scene. The broken bodies of her mother and aunt lay bleeding and feebly stirring in the road. Ana stood frozen in shock and horror, so much so that she missed the snarling of a strange furry beast behind her.

It pounced,, knocking her to the ground. The wolf-like creature sank it's teeth into her shoulder, tearing flesh from bone. It's terrifyingly long claws dug into her back. The child thrashed and screamed, trapped under it's strong paws. A handful of wizards appeared out of thin air, announced by several large cracks. Two men attempted to subdue the beast while a man in acid green robes sank down on the ground beside her. Chandrakala was confused and scared, she cried out for her family and tried to wiggle away from the large Healer 'til she grew too woozy to fight and succumbed to a cool, dark haze. When she woke up she was in a hospital, petrified and decorated with unhealable scars across her face, right shoulder and back. Her mother and aunt had perished in the attack (although anyone who looked into it might find that they could have been saved had the Medi-Wizard been allowed to tend to them) and her father was notified that she had as well.

Sympathetic healers assure her that she would be returned to her remaining family after the first full moon. Ana doesn't exactly understand what's supposed to happen during said full moon and occasionally becomes very anxious about it. Since the attack she spends her time recovering and trying to assist the Healers. She rebounded very quickly and is in mostly high spirits, although she has developed a very intense fear of the dark and any dog or wolf like creature.
