DESCRIPTION:Cass' eyes are very dark brown, which only makes their wideness more open and inviting. Her hair is thick, black, curly and there is lots of it. Cass lets her hair grow wild and hang wild because she likes the way the wind feels in it when she’s on a broom.

Cass is lithe. She’s got muscle where she needs it – mainly the arms - but her average height and low body weight stretch her to knobby bones. Her skin is adorned with a few small tattoos, mostly well-hidden. Cass has a strong command over her body, and it shows. She’s dedicated to being the best she can be, and that means sculpting the perfect form. Her movements are sure and unwavering, and always quick. She moves with a determination; there’s always an end goal in mind. She doesn’t fidget or prattle around restlessly. This absence of mannerism actually very much defines her, as her stillness can be a little disconcerting to some – she seems always poised, like a striking snake, just like her mother.

Her most common poses, though, are very much unlike her mother’s. Cass is not a guarded, stony statue but a relaxed, open invitation. She takes up a lot of space with her lounging, preferring to flop across chairs and tables rather than sit properly. She’s almost always smiling, if not smirking, and if standing – she’s usually leaning on something.

GENERAL PERSONALITY: Cass is all-consumed by her passion and ambition to be the best – but that doesn’t make her a wet blanket or anything. She’s energized by her sport; she feels beyond blessed to be doing what she loves the most, and she can’t help but be happy about it all the time. She likes to let people know that, too, her excitement for life constantly working to draw people in. Cass loves people and is very chatty, considering everybody a friend unless they are an uptight jerk. She’s also very playful, which can be overbearing for the more quiet and sensitive ones of the world. Her tendency to play-fight everyone has gotten her in real trouble a few more times than she’d like to admit.

When it does come down to work, though, Cass has no problem getting serious. Her competitive streak runs her whole length and width, and her drive is endless. She can be a bit of a perfectionist and hates messing up, which can lead to her being hard on herself. With all this focus on being the best, Cass also lacks a lot of self-awareness. She’s consumed by her goals, and can really only concentrate on one at a time. If Quidditch is the most important thing in her life, everything else suffers.

Character History: From her birth all the way up to her year to go off to Hogwarts, Cassabelle really only had her father and baby siblings to interact with. The family was well off, and never in need, but Cass couldn’t help but feel a little lonely. She craved conversation and attention and often found herself on the nerves of her largely quiet and stoic family. Mom was always off doing something, “working” supposedly but Cass had to wonder what kind of job kept a mother from her children for days at a time. Instead of causing her to resent her mother, though, this absence caused young Cass much desperation, a desire to impress her haughty mother. If she just tried to be beautiful and smart and talented like her, maybe she would come home more often. Cass inherited and developed her mother’s drive very strongly during this time.

Going off to Hogwarts, then, was a culture shock. There was an endless supply of conversation and attention to be had; and people liked her not just for what she could do, but just who she was. Cass greatly enjoyed her time in school. The competitive streak instilled by her mother, while not translating well into doing the best in her classes, drove Cass toward any other competition she could find. Gobstones, card-collecting, swimming, racing…and Quidditch. Cass was enthralled with the game, working nonstop to make the team. Val saw great wealth in a potentially famous Quidditch star daughter, so Cass always had the best gear and brooms to play with. She eventually became Slytherin’s Quidditch captain in her final years, and things only got better from there.

Cass had tunnel vision for the pro leagues. She worked her bum off to impress the recruiters, and it worked. She went straight to the Chudley Cannons right out of school, and has played for the team ever since. These days, Cass spends all her time consumed with the sport and everything that goes with it – that includes keeping her mother off her back, who sees the gold glinting off her daughter and wants her fair share. Now that Cass is older, she can look back with 20/20 hindsight at the beast that is her mother. She was greatly devastated by her parents’ divorce, but only because she felt bad for Dad.
