Instead of having to pass a certain number of classes to move on to the next grade, Homenum Revelio has class assignments!
Students need to finish 7 assignments over the course of the entire school year to move on to the next grade.
(If you cannot do so due to absence, or because you made your student very late in the year, a smaller number will be allowed)
Professors or administration will post an assignment related to the subject - e.g. Charms. The assignment might read something like this:
"Students will post a thread in where they are practicing Wingardium Leviosa with a partner. The assignment is to stack 8 boxes, but each person may only move one box before the other takes a turn. The stack must be in a geometric shape. Each student must post 3 times in the thread to pass the assignment. Bonus points for each extra post or for finishing the stack."
Then, any student who wants to do the assignment would find a partner and start a thread. The number of posts required to pass will depend on the Professor. When the assignment is complete, tag the Professor in the thread and they will check your work. The thread may include socialization and other creative liberties (do they knock the stack over? do they accidentally set it on fire?) but to pass the assignment, the required number of posts must be related to the assignment.
Professors may also specify that the assignment is to attend a lesson, if the Professor so chooses, or even write an 'exam' at the end of the year. The kind of assignment set is at the discretion of the Professor!
[Note to Professors! - you will need to specify an assignment, the number of posts, and the amount of extra points awarded to students. Whether you want to insist on Professor supervision or other extras is up to you, as long as the assignment is relevant to the course. When students complete assignments, you can add their name to the list of students who passed.]
