| May 3: After the battle of Hogwarts, the Order meets in the castle to discuss their situation. Voldemort has been vanquished, but there remains the problem of the Ministry and the last Death Eaters. May 10: A week after the battle and assisting with cleaning up Hogwarts - as well as mourning - the Order storm Grimmauld Place, taking it back from the Death Eaters whom Yaxley had brought and rebuilding the wards (all to the accompaniment of Mrs Black's screams). May 19-23: The Order begins to reach out to the Ministry... carefully. The Wizengamot, despite many of their number losing their lives in the dictatorship just prior, are reluctant to allow an Emergency Minister to replace Pius Thicknesse as it defies tradition, and take some time to convince. May 25: After a tragic Death Eater attack in Hogsmeade, the Order enacts a coup within the Ministry, removing and/or chasing out the obvious Death Eaters and their allies. Kingsley Shacklebolt is nominated, unanimously, as Emergency Minister. June 23: Kingsley officially becomes Minister for Magic. July: Trials of captured Death Eaters and some sympathizers. September: Hogwarts reopens - previous years are invited back with an adjusted curriculum to make up for the last school year. McGonagall settles in as Headmistress. |
| January: Fenrir Greyback returns. Werewolf attacks mount as a majority of the creatures ally with the Death Eaters February: A party of Death Eaters, including Greyback, attack in Muggle London on the full moon. Kinglsey is injured and spends the month in St Mungo's. During this time, the Wizengamot elects new members in a closed process, and makes demands for a large portion of government powers. April: There is a series of fires in Diagon Alley, both magical and non. Percy Weasley and Hestia Jones are among those who lose their lives in the fires. However, Gringotts, after being saved from the fires, declares their support for the Order government, quelling the Wizengamot power grab. October: Anti-Slytherin sentiments seem to be brewing as a group of young Slytherin graduates are taunted in Diagon Alley. The remaining members of these Pureblood houses release a public apology. November: The young Slytherins/Death Eater descendants find themselves attacked in a series of home invasions. Malfoy Manor is lost in the fire - those who live there are invited to stay with the Order. December: The anti-Slytherin sentiments at Hogwarts result in a series of increasingly unfortunate pranks on the members of that House. |
| January: When all of the Slytherin Quidditch team is sent to the hospital in the latest 'prank', the Headmistress of Hogwarts announces things must stop. To assist in building inter-house unity, she announces a series of tournaments, including Quidditch and Quiz challenges, where all teams must have at least one member from each house. May: The Inter-House Tournaments seem to be successful, after a few faulty starts. It is announced the tournament will be a yearly event. July: the Knight Bus is hijacked by a party of hags, werewolves, and Death Eaters. A hostage situation occurs, but is quickly dispelled by the DMLE with little harm done to the unfortunate occupants of the bus. November: The Ministry declares that the use of Dementors is inhumane, and Azkaban will now be staffed with wizard/security troll guards. |
| February: a Howler from a Death Eater incites a prison riot. A few Death Eaters escape, including Alecto Carrow and Yaxley. March: A series of lightning-strike Death Eater attacks occur all over the country - and a copycat in France, nearly causing an international incident. April: Alecto Carrow appears in Hogsmeade during the monthly visit. Horace Slughorn bravely takes her on. Though he, tragically, passes away due to the strain of the Cruciatus curse, the Carrow is captured along with a small group of escapees found nearby. July: Yaxley is discovered, comatose in the Shrieking shack. A week later, Dementors appear in Hogsmeade, claiming a few innocents for the Kiss before the DMLE can arrive. October: Werewolves are discovered in the Forbidden forest, victims of Fenrir Greyback. McGonagall gets a visit from the Board of Education, who promptly flee from her office in terror. |
| November: Death Eater encounters over Britain in small towns - including attacks on Muggles. The Obliviators are heavily involved in the clean up. Yaxley awakens from his coma and tries to bargain for a shorter sentence, but is sent back to Azkaban without mercy. December: A newly made vampire attacks Christmas shoppers in Hogsmeade. One victim turns into a vampire, one dies. The vampire culprit is executed after naming a known Death Eater ally as its sire. |
| January: The Wizengamot declares that they are bound by law and ancient magic to 'elect' a new Minister for Magic, thus forcing Kingsley out of his decision. They convene behind closed doors and return with a single nomination: Margaret Bennet. They step up as Minister for Magic on January 31st, declaring they will usher in a new era of peace for wizardkind. February: On the full moon several werewolf attacks occur throughout the country. Numerous wizards are rushed to treatment, as well as a few muggles. The Minister issues a public statement of sympathy to the injured parties. March: Prior to the full moon, a 'how to protect yourself from werewolves' pamphlet is released by the Ministry. Only a single attack is recorded, and the werewolf is captured and killed. The identity of the werewolf is not released. May: Two days after the anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts, the Minister announces that new policies to "regulate and rebuff" Death Eater activity will be revealed in July if they pass through the Wizengamot. July: There is an assassination attempt on the Chief Warlock, who has been resisting allowing certain pieces of legislation through. At the same time, the London Eye is attacked by Death Eaters - and falls, leaving many wounded and dead. Muggles are mostly Obliviated, though it is likely some are missed. Two days later, St. Mungo's (where the wounded, including the Chief Warlock, are staying) is attacked by Death Eaters, who leave more bodies in their wake - including that of Julius Stark, Chief Warlock. August: Werewolves, on the night of the full moon, attack Godric's Hollow. Days later, at a back to school event in Diagon Alley, Dementors descend. In Belgium, there is a vampire attack on a nightclub. People are terrified, and in the midst of this terror a new chief Warlock ascends... and the new legislation is announced... |
