APPEARANCE
Played by Grace Van Dien (link)
DESCRIPTION:Rosabella is tall and beautiful, with long pale gold hair and a slim figure. Though she's tall, people often comment that she looks younger than she is. Her skin is untainted, and she looks vaguely like a porcelain doll that's never seen the sun, and no one ever touches for fear of breaking her. She is, however, stronger than she looks, and one would be hard pressed to figure out what's really going on in her mind. Rosa is in love with thermoses, and has enchanted all of hers so that they'll make any liquid warm when poured into them - she's rarely found without her thermos of tea or occasionally hot chocolate in her hand. When she isn't, she's usually got a bottle of cold green tea. Rosabella likes to dress in flowy sort of clothing, either jeans and a loose top or occasionally a sundress. She never wears heels, but adores ballet pumps. Her eyes are a deep turquoise with endless depth, and seem pensive, her eyes sparkle subtly when she's happy, but they're big and set in just a way that they give the appearance of always seeming sad or being very deep in thought.
PERSONALITY
POSITIVE TRAITS: Strong-willed, excels in charms, intelligent, honest, light-sleeper, controls her emotions, plays flute exceptionally well, loyal, exceptional drawing skills, good instincts
NEGATIVE TRAITS: Perfectionist, sensitive, easily offended, even if she doesn't show it, holds grudges, blunt, doesn't trust easily, low pain threshold, bottles up her emotions, vaguely socially awkward and never sure quite what to say.
LIKES: The moon, winter, caramel, books, the colours blue and silver, the smell after it rains, rain, storms, chocolate, sunrise, hot black tea with one spoon of sugar, cold green tea, snow, freedom, trees, forests, beginning sentences with "why the winter" or "why in winter's name" because winter is like her god, the beach.
DISLIKES: The full moon, offloading her problems onto others, crowds, the smell of strong cleaning products, fireworks, pepper, fish, the smell of fish, muggle photos ("why the winter are the people frozen? Are they dead?").
HOBBIES: Reading, writing, playing flute, drawing, reading, going for long walks along the beach, in a park or in a forest, drinking tea, waking up early, watching the sunrise, staying warm
GENERAL PERSONALITY: Rosa is very good at hiding her emotions - she doesn't like to offload her own problems onto others, and very few can tell what she's really feeling. She bottles up any emotion she feels, and this occasionally leads to outbursts of emotion that she doesn't intend. She doesn't trust people naturally, though she'll be courteous, it will take time to earn her friendship. Her sensitivity means that she is easily offended, though she rarely lets this show, and she will hold grudges. On the other hand, she is very honest, and doesn't quite know when to leave something out, which leads to many calling her blunt and insensitive - which is half true. While she is sensitive in herself, she is not so sensitive to the needs or wants of those around her, and is actually quite oblivious. Rosa is extremely naïve about relationships, and has never been in one. She can be totally oblivious to any interest shown in her, and, while she is bisexual, she's not really sure of much to do with her sexuality yet. Once she has a friend, she will love them to the end, and will do anything to protect them.

Character History: Genevieve Fortescue was born to a very wealthy family in the heart of the French city Paris (No, she has no known relationship to Florean, though she probably would claim that she knew him well, if she ever heard of his fame). Her muggle father was a rather rich radio host, and her mother was Senior Undersecretary to the Minister of the time. Her mother was an Australian witch, so Genevieve learnt both languages. She was well cared for, and, being their only child, wanted for nothing. Genevieve was raised a spoiled child, and elements of that have always shone through in her personality, however she is kind-hearted and always means well. She would never purposely hurt anyone. At nearly eighteen, having just finished her education at Beauxbatons, she decided she wished to travel. Her parents barely hesitated to agree, they would scarcely deny her anything.
Eremurus was the son of yet another wealthy family, this one from America. His bloodline held a claim to complete purity, though this was by chance, as they were not pureblood activists. Eremurus had five brothers and three sisters, and he was younger than all save the twins; Lucy and Lucas. While he lived extremely comfortably, he learnt how to share from a young age, though he was thankfully never forced to wear hand-me-downs from his elder siblings. He did often borrow their clothes though, without asking, and the Elwood house quite quickly got to the point where the clothes were placed in a large central wardrobe, and it became a 'free-for-all' sort of thing, because no one knew whose clothes were whose anymore. Though Eremurus loved his family dearly, living in such a place can become suffocating over time, and when he graduated from Ilvermorny, he bid them farewell for a short period to go travel. He met Genevieve while travelling through the South of Australia. The two travelled together for some months before parting, however they kept in touch through owl mail, and it wasn't long before they were trading the occasional owl mail, and soon they had met each others' families. Eremurus' French was not spectacular, but he knew enough to get by, and Genevieve was always by his side. It was clear they were perfect for each other, and a proposal followed not long after they met.
Both being family oriented people, it was difficult to decide where to live, but when Genevieve's mother fell gravely ill, they decided to stay in France. They were married on the ninth of May, 1981 in the French Ministry, and they were happier than ever. It wasn't long before Genevieve fell pregnant and the sixteenth of June, 1982 brought Rosabella into the world. She was spoilt - both families had been well off, and both Genevieve and Eremurus secured high-status jobs that brought more than enough income than they needed to live comfortably. Rosa lived a wonderful childhood for it, she was not spoiled quite as Genevieve was, however she never wanted for much, and grew into a wonderfully polite young lady, speaking both French and English and she loved to study. Her sister, Ivy, four years younger, was less of a good girl, but they have always got along perfectly well, and the two are as close as anything. They've never kept secrets from each other.
When Rosabella was eight, she picked up flute. She had been playing piano practically since she was born, though she much prefers flute now, and wanted to try something new. The pretty silver flute appealed to her nature and love of the colour silver. She caught onto it very quickly, and practiced constantly, so that now she is extremely talented at the practice.
Soon after, her eleventh birthday rolled around, and she received a letter from a wizarding school, Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons, just as she had been expecting. The eleven year old was delighted, and she took to magic better than most around her. She was a fast learner, and she excelled in most of her classes - particularly charms. Her sister joined her when she was in fourth year, and then fifth year. In her fifth year, the students began working on casting a patronus. It took Rosa several months of frustrated practice - both in class and out of class, but she was one of the first in her class to achieve it. Her patronus took the form of a wolf, mirroring her personality - her intelligence, free spirit, love of nature and her distrust of new people.
Both the girls were in love with Beauxbatons, but it was not to last. During the summer holidays between Rosa's fifth and sixth year, Eremurus' father died - rather suddenly. She's never quite clear on what happened, but her father wanted to be there to support his family, so he moved there, not entirely sure of how long he intended to stay, and visited his family. However, one month away from her precious Eremurus was terrible for poor Genevieve, and suddenly the children found themselves whisked off to America. The girls attended Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for their schooling. Rosabella was sorted into Horned Serpent, and eventually graduated there, however Ivy was not so lucky. While in America, Genevieve caught a nasty batch of Dragon Pox, and the Healers recommended they move to London, where a specialist Dragon Pox healer lived. So in mid-June of 2003, the family moved yet again. Ivy is about to start her sixth year at her third school; Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and Rosa isn't quite sure what she wants to do yet. She's taken up a part time job, but is looking for more permanent work eventually.
Just very recently, Rosa was caught up in the werewolf attack while exploring a beautiful, quaint little village (by the name of Godric's Hollow, as it happens) under the light of the moon. She had always thought the moon beautiful, and the night was still and calm - perfect for walking. A werewolf's bite has no cure, and she's very lucky she survived the attack at all. The healer who saved her told her what she had become, but they were kind, and left the decision to tell the authorities up to her. She's been in denial about being a werewolf, so she's kept the whole bite part a secret from her family - even her sister. The full moon that just passed was a terrible experience. Afraid of the wolf that she denied existed, she apparated and walked deep into a very dense and large forest for the full moon. Rosa has a low pain threshold, and becoming a werewolf felt like it was going to kill her. Every bone in her body broke and healed, and she screamed louder than she ever had before. In the morning, she woke up curled up in the snow, the trees around her gouged by deep claws and a long scratch along her untainted abdomen. Thankfully, she had encountered no humans, and her scratch was not too deep. Now that a full moon has passed she doesn't entirely know what to do. She still hasn't told her sister, nor her parents.
