DESCRIPTION:Tobias stands at 5'10 and is below average weight. His body is bony yet muscular due to his way of life. His skin is pale and covered in scratches and bites, some by the wolf who created him and some caused by himself or in fights. His most notable features however are not his scars but his thick bushy black eyebrows combined with his light blue eyes. His black hair is of wavy texture and often messy as he doesn't bother combing it. His left ear is pierced and he wears a ring in it. He would have more piercings and tattoos if he had the money. Toby has a sharp jaw line and a bit of a square chin. He often wears old clothes until they completely fall apart then he steals some new ones either from shops or clotheslines. He often looks a little older than people of his age but this is mostly because he looks tired all the time.

HOBBIES: Lately Tobias didn't really have the time to explore his interests and hobbies. He is way too busy covering up any traces of his condition. He is embarrassed for it and doesn’t want students to know (even if almost all teachers know) However he has an interest in muggle motorbikes, hoping to one one himself some day. He also loves Quidditch and would have been really good if he actually dared to sign himself up and try. Toby also liked to go for a swim and jog.

GENERAL PERSONALITY: Tobias is a frustrated and bottled up boy who is hostile towards almost everyone he meets. His unstable early teenage years caused his mental development to be disturbed. In these important years he was mostly on his own or couldn't find a stable home for longer than a month which took it's toll. Tobias seems to be angry all the time and blames the society for how he has become. Abandoned children get the care they need but people seem to care less about werewolf children. In his early teenage years he has become quite a brat as he used to live on the streets and steal to eat. This only lasted for 1 year but that year was long enough to change the happy curious boy into an angry teen who trusts nobody. Being found at the age of 13 (and a few months) by a teacher he was given another chance. His Hogwarts education is everything to him as he is very much aware that he won’t stand a chance without it. However as he still tries to fit in and nobody likes a nerd he’ll pretend not to care.

Tobias picks a fight and will easily make it clear when he doesn't like you. He'll quickly turn defensive and pull a weapon on you. Scarred dogs growl the hardest. Despite his struggles he is quite a nice guy underneath his mask. If you were considered his friend or a pack member (doesn't have to be a werewolf) he will always look after you and even die to save you life. Tobias is secretly caring for others for example a hurt pigeon will be taken with him and he'll try his very best to nurse him back to health (he still has the pigeon as a pet and claims pigeons are as good as owls as they sent letters too). Even if he doesn't own much, Tobias is willing to share with those who need it more. He is looking for his place in the world and wants to mean something to someone. He has also become a little more manageable
since his return to Hogwarts, this however only applies to when he is actually in Hogwarts because he doesn't want to get expelled.

Character History:

Lewis Turner was born a squib in a halfblood wizarding family. His parents still treated him well and tried to help him find a place at a muggle school. He might have been jealous of his sisters who did get to go to Hogwarts but he never hated them for it. His parents still tried to give some knowledge on the magical world. Eventually he grew used to the muggle life and found a decent paying job where he met the girl he would eventually marry. Seeing she was a muggle both their sons were muggles and for some years Lewis almost seemed to forgot about the magical world.

Jim Turner and Abigail Brooks met at the university they both studied at. They took other classes but still saw each other in the hallways. After they graduated at the age of 23 they got together and eventually married to have four children. Both parents worked and took turns to watch over the kids. They formed a wealthy middle class family.

Tobias was the third child being born. He already had two elder siblings and two younger siblings followed after him. He was raised as a normal muggle kid, a bit mischievous trying to prank Peter with the help of Jim. It was obvious that Peter was their mother's favorite child while the youngest daughter Dora was father's favourite. The parents never said it out loud but Lilian, Tobias and Jim noticed this anyways. Lilian was the typical big sister watching over everyone and never getting the spotlight herself. Peter was a star students making the other siblings jealous because their parents often talked of how smart Peter was. Both Jim and Tobias were trouble makers and often teamed up. Last there was Dora the perfect little princess you just couldn't hate.

During his elementary school Tobias got picked on because he easily got angry which stroke interest in the other students. Until one day he showed his magic, harming another student and causing him to be suspended. His parents weren't sure how to take this they had no idea that such a thing existed in this world. While father and mother avoided to talk about their son being a wizard, grandfather Lewis was the support he needed. Tobias did better at his second school, he even made some friends there.

When his time came to go to Hogwarts his parents wouldn't let him go, they couldn't see how he could get a decent job if he went to that school. Luckily his grandfather was there to convince them, telling them he needed to learn how to control his magic. The parents from a friend of Tobias also talked to Mr. and Mrs. Turner, they were magical people themselves and their son would go to the same school. Tobias was both exited and scared to go to Hogwarts but he found great support in Owen, his school friend. Sadly they were placed in separated houses. But at least they shared the dungeons together. The whole first year of Hogwarts was one big experience. Everything amazed him and it brought up a side in him that was never there. For the first time he felt like he belonged somewhere and he grew ambitious wanting to learn it all and become a good wizard so he could amaze his parents and change their mind on magic.

When the summer break came he was sad to leave but was happy when Owen's parents invited him to go camping with them. His parents allowed it because Tobias couldn't shut up about how amazing Hogwarts was and it was making them uncomfortable. Tobias went with Owen and his family to the highlands. There they traveled from place to place enjoying the environment and each other’s company. At night they cooked together and played games. For one week it was fun and joy but then the full moon came without them realizing the danger. That night when the children were going to bed the adults heard growls near their camp. Owen’s father held his wand ready and told his wife to go fetch the children. Tobias and Owen were ready to apparate away with the woman as suddenly a wolf struck the man. The woman screamed and took her wand to hit the wolf away from her husband. Tobias ran towards the man to help but right then the wolf had stood up and went for his prey again, biting and scratching both the man and the boy. Owen had cried out, the woman apparated away with her son as the man bloodied and wounded searched for his own. Tobias felt the sharp fangs piercing his waist and shoulder trying to tear some flesh off. By the time he apparated Tobias and himself at the steps of St. Mungos the man was already bleeding to death. Healers came outside to take them in Owen and his mother were already there and helped the two males onto the beds. That night the healers did their best as Tobias and Owen’s father fought for their lives. It seemed that the wounds of Owen’s father were too big; he was almost missing an entire leg. The blood replenishing potion couldn’t work up to the loosing blood because the wounds were hard to close. The man died that night while Tobias was still fighting for his own life.

The boy seemed to live after a few days there were only scars left his entire upper body was full of scratches and bite marks but his legs and face seemed to be fine. Mr. and Mrs. Turner had gotten an owl which eventually ended with Grandpa Lewis reading the letter. He brought Tobias parents with him in a visiting hour where the healers explained what was going to happen. Abigail was furious she blamed the wizarding society and Owen’s family for all this. But she couldn’t believe it was real. Which was why thing went terribly wrong during the full moon of August. The days before he already didn’t feel good in his own skin and was snappy towards his parents and siblings. It was Tobias’ first full moon and he had no idea what was happening to his body. So when it happened he thought he was dying, he screamed and cried out to his parents who only looked at him in fear as if they didn’t know him. The family fled from the house and left Tobias behind. That was the last thing he saw before the rage took over. The werewolf wanted to break free from the house and go after the humans in the streets. He did. The wolf managed to smash himself through a window, not caring if he got hurt it only thought of meat.

The next day he woke up hurting all over, he never thought he could have pain in so many places at the same time. He was naked and confused, lying on the hard streets of the small English city they lived. There was a tasted of blood in his mouth which made him feel sick. Tobias threw up as soon as he moved. He got up because he knew he couldn’t stay here wherever he was. When he looked around it seemed he was in his own street, there were two bodies on the floor one that looked at the man from house 43 and the other… “Jimmy?” It couldn’t be, but that face that same black hair as he had those same blue eyes that now stared lifeless into nothing. “Hey, Jimmy wake up please,” he begged the dead body of his brother. Then his eyes fell on the wounds they looked the same as his scars. Then he remembered vague flashbacks from the state he had been in. “No, no, no.” Tobias fell through his knees and cried at his brother’s corpse. Just then people calling themselves ‘aurors’ came in. Tobias was taken away from the scene and covered in robes one of the aurors was wearing.

Staying a night at Mungo’s to get his wounds treated, he eventually was send home. The aurors had a hard time deciding who was at fault here. They could hardly send a twelve year old to Azkaban for this as he had no idea what was happening due to the lack of information he and his family had.

When he returned home, he wasn’t accepted with warmth. It was very clear that the family was scared of him and didn’t want him anymore. They tried to ignore him until one day during dinner mother suddenly fell into tears and started to yell at Tobias. “Monster, murderer! Give me Jim back give me back my son! You destroy everything. Get lost, go out of my house! I don’t know you, you’re not my Tobias. I hate you!” The woman started picking him up and put him out of the door. Father tried to stop her but eventually gave in because he knew they had to choose for their other children’s safety. How could they grow up normally while being in fear?

Tobias’ heart broke, he was simply lost. The words echoed in his head and would forever haunt him. He spend an hour just sitting in front of the door. But when he realized he really no longer was welcome he just started running and running and running. Until his legs could no longer carry him and he had to rest. His parents never left a message to Hogwarts the family completely shut themselves off from the magical world and pretended they'd never heard of such thing. They even pretended that they never had a child named Tobias.

Tobias was lucky it was summer, the nights weren’t that cold. The next months were uncertain; he just wandered around the streets until muggle police found him and figured something was off. When the man started questioning the boy no answer came and he brought him to the police office.

Eventually Tobias was brought to an orphanage where he would spend the next half month. This entire time he hadn’t said a word he just curled up into a ball and stared in front of him, barely eating. When the next full moon approached, he knew it wasn’t safe for the other children so he ran away.

During the winter he wondered everyday if he was going to make it eventually a young woman picked him up the streets and brought him home. She was a witch and her husband seemed to know one or two things about werewolves. They had no children of their own yet and were willing to take him in. Tobias never returned to Hogwarts but they taught him things even spells. During the full moon they’d lock him up in the cellar to take him out the next morning and treat his wounds. Tobias started smiling again and suddenly opened up to these people. Even with the torturing transformations he wasn’t alone. He stayed for a few months until the couple were expecting a child of their own and suddenly didn’t seem to have time to look after Toby. A werewolf teen wasn’t just anything. And it didn’t help that the woman fell sick the later months. Tobias decided to write a thanks and goodbye letter, packed as many things as he could and once more left. He was now almost thirteen.

He reverted back to his life of stealing and finding small shelters, wondering if he could make it through the next month. A lot of bad things happened to him, he was treated badly by the people he came across or thrown rocks at by other children. His appearance had said enough about his way of life. Tobias grew aggressive and attacked the children biting them and harming them in his human form. He grew more wolfish with each week. 

Early July 2001 he was found by a teacher. The current people he was staying with had contacted this teacher upon recognition. At first Toby was simply shocked and scared, he no longer was the same boy from Hogwarts. Eventually the teacher got through him and learned about his situation. Tobias offered him a return to Hogwarts for the next year. He'd be one year behind but still had a chance. 

During the summer he would stay in an orphanage for magical children where he did seem to get the treatment he needed. There was this one potion that let him keep his sanity during the monthly change and the people seemed supportive. Only slowly he figured out they mostly kept him to teach the other kids tolerance. He was just a learning tool to them it seemed. Perhaps he was only paranoid but he couldn’t really trust these people who were too kind to have any real good intentions. Tobias grew snappy and edgy towards the caretakers, showing the exact behavior they didn’t want to teach the children. He threatened one of the nannies, it had gotten to the point where he made her cry. THis combined with the recent werewolf attack in Godric’s Hallow made the orphanage sent him away. Tobias doesn’t know if Hogwarts has been informed about this or not. He won’t tell it himself, he is afraid that his bad behavior in the orphanage would get him expelled. He is still a bit of a troublemaker at Hogwarts but shows more respect to (most) teachers than he did at the orphanage. He’d spend the remaining weeks on the streets and doesn’t have all school items needed due to this very reason. How he’ll manage to soldier through this year is still a wonder.
