APPEARANCE
Played by Sabrina Carpenter (link)
DESCRIPTION:Ivy is just over average height, at 5'8", though she desperately wishes she was taller. Her blonde hair is usually out, hanging loosely around her shoulders - mostly because she can't be bothered and partly because it feels amazing to fly with her hair out. She is always dressed well, and likes to set her own trends, rather than follow the crowd. If she's going out, you can be sure she'll be in heels - they make her taller, an attribute she can't resist. Ivy's usually got a smile on her face, though it's not a big toothy grin; rather more of a small smile. When she does give a toothy smile, you know she's truly happy, as it's not a common thing. Ivy's quite slim and dainty naturally, but has an athletic build from her beloved Quidditch, and she's quite pretty - even if she doesn't quite believe that in herself. She rarely wears make up - but mostly because she doesn't want to wake up earlier in the morning, and its effort that she doesn't really see the point to.
PERSONALITY
POSITIVE TRAITS: Strong-willed, extroverted, doesn't care what people think, excellent flier, steadfast in her beliefs, has a good voice, makes excellent cheesies, good sense of style, fast reactions, exceptionally good with attack spells, honest, good memory, fast reflexes, confident, makes an excellent keeper in Quidditch, she's also rather skilled at chasing, too, speaks fluent French and English.
NEGATIVE TRAITS: Stubborn, holds grudges, reckless, rebellious and seems to have a thing for trouble, bit of a big-mouth, said mouth moves without any input from her brain, can be selfish, tactless, a touch arrogant and overconfident in her abilities, bold, blunt, cheeky, is secretly afraid of thunder
LIKES: Dark chocolate, Quidditch, boys, butterbeer, alcohol (when she can get her hands on it), being herself, summer, originality, nicknames, hot showers, the colours red and gold, the smell of vanilla, the taste of vanilla, vanilla, make up, cheesies, cold green tea, coffee, ice cream, taking photos, water, fashion, music, gossip, history
DISLIKES: The cold, getting up early, cold showers, white chocolate, crying, cleaning, people who can't think for themselves, feeling helpless, herbology and divination, thunder, bugs, sappy romantic stuff, rules, being bored, arrogance (though she can be guilty of this occasionally), Quodpot (What were the Americans thinking?), criticism.
HOBBIES: Flying, Quidditch, going out with friends, eating ice cream on hot days, inventing her own style, designing clothes, duelling, singing, gossiping, reading/looking at very old books.
GENERAL PERSONALITY: Ivy knows what she wants and is out to get it. She's extroverted and enjoys making friends. She's rebellious, enjoys breaking rules for the sake of it, and isn't interested in what others think of her. While there are some classes that she doesn't excel at, her professors are usually torn about whether they like her or not. While she causes trouble, she is an excellent student, and is usually ahead in classes. Ivy's resiliant as she's had to change schools once already, and she's confident she'll make new friends pretty quickly. She'll hold grudges easily, and isn't one to rekindle a friendship that the other half ruined. She is confident in herself, which can lead to a little bit of what some might call arrogance - she calls it having a backbone.

Character History: Genevieve Fortescue was born to a very wealthy family in the heart of the French city Paris (No, she has no known relationship to Florean, though she probably would claim that she knew him well, if she ever heard of his fame). Her muggle father was a rather rich radio host, and her mother was Senior Undersecretary to the Minister of the time. Her mother was an Australian witch, so Genevieve learnt both languages. She was well cared for, and, being their only child, wanted for nothing. Genevieve was raised a spoiled child, and elements of that have always shone through in her personality, however she is kind-hearted and always means well. She would never purposely hurt anyone. At nearly eighteen, having just finished her education at Beauxbatons, she decided she wished to travel. Her parents barely hesitated to agree, they would scarcely deny her anything.
Eremurus was the son of yet another wealthy family, this one from America. His bloodline held a claim to complete purity, though this was by chance, as they were not pureblood activists. Eremurus had five brothers and three sisters, and he was younger than all save the twins; Lucy and Lucas. While he lived extremely comfortably, he learnt how to share from a young age, though he was thankfully never forced to wear hand-me-downs from his elder siblings. He did often borrow their clothes though, without asking, and the Elwood house quite quickly got to the point where the clothes were placed in a large central wardrobe, and it became a 'free-for-all' sort of thing, because no one knew whose clothes were whose anymore. Though Eremurus loved his family dearly, living in such a place can become suffocating over time, and when he graduated from Ilvermorny, he bid them farewell for a short period to go travel. He met Genevieve while travelling through the South of Australia. The two travelled together for some months before parting, however they kept in touch through owl mail, and it wasn't long before they were trading the occasional owl mail, and soon they had met each others' families. Eremurus' French was not spectacular, but he knew enough to get by, and Genevieve was always by his side. It was clear they were perfect for each other, and a proposal followed not long after they met.
Both being family oriented people, it was difficult to decide where to live, but when Genevieve's mother fell gravely ill, they decided to stay in France. They were married on the ninth of May, 1981 in the French Ministry, and they were happier than ever. It wasn't long before Genevieve fell pregnant and the sixteenth of June, 1982 brought Rosabella into the world. She was spoilt - both families had been well off, and both Genevieve and Eremurus secured high-status jobs that brought more than enough income than they needed to live comfortably. Rosa lived a wonderful childhood for it, she was not spoiled quite as Genevieve was, however she never wanted for much, and grew into a wonderfully polite young lady, speaking both French and English and she loved to study. Ivy, born four years later, was less of a good girl, but they have always got along perfectly well, and the two are as close as anything. They've never kept secrets from each other.
When Rosa's eleventh birthday rolled around, she received a letter from a wizarding school, Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons, just as everyone had been expecting. It was sad to see her sister go, and for four years, poor Ivy was forced to watch her sister leave her for yet another year. Life was terribly boring without a sister to gossip with, or even occasionally harass. And she was certainly jealous that her sister was learning magic while she was not. But Ivy made the most of it, making up her own games, playing in a nearby stream, building a swing from rope and a board of wood. She climbed trees a lot of the time (much to Genevieve's horror), and became quite good at it. She always loved to watch the sunset from the tops of trees - if her mother didn't catch her first.
Four years passed without many major events, but by the time Ivy's eleventh birthday came, she was practically floating with all the excitement she held within her. Beauxbatons was wonderful, and while she was perhaps not as adept as her sister with lessons, she was exceptional on a broom, and horse-riding was her favourite class. She didn't hold the same passion as her sister for study, and subjects such as basic divination and herbology bored her. The only 'boring' subject she found interesting was history of magic. She loved the professor for the class - she was young and kind, and seemed to take a special liking to Ivy - and the history of both the muggle and wizarding worlds fascinated the girl.
Both the girls were in love with Beauxbatons, but it was not to last. During the summer holidays between Ivy's second and third year, Eremurus' father died - rather suddenly. Ivy's never been quite clear on what happened, but her father wanted to be there to support his family, so he moved there, not entirely sure of how long he intended to stay, and visited his family. However, one month away from her precious Eremurus was terrible for poor Genevieve, and suddenly the children found themselves whisked off to America. The girls attended Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for their schooling. Rosabella was sorted into Horned Serpent, and Ivy into Wampus, for her headstrong, 'doing not thinking' nature. Eventually, Rosabella graduated there, however Ivy was not so lucky. While in America, Genevieve caught a nasty batch of Dragon Pox, and the Healers recommended they move to London, where a specialist Dragon Pox healer lived. So in mid-June of 2003, the family moved yet again. Ivy is about to start her sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry - her third school.
Just very recently, Rosabella was caught up in the werewolf attack and was bitten and infected. She's in denial about being a werewolf, so she's kept the whole bite part a secret from her family - even her sister. Ivy, who is used to knowing everything about her sister, is very suspicious about her sister, and has set her mind to finding out exactly what's up - despite being at school while her sister is not.
