Despite that he had many bad experiences with wandering over the streets and sleeping on park benches, Tobias liked being outside. Especially on days like these. It was a nice after summer day. It wasn’t hot anymore but not yet cold. The grass was soft and the clouds were quite relaxing. The Gryffindor laid on his back and was making shaped out of the clouds. He wasn’t alone, although his companion wasn’t human. Then again neither was he according to some people. On his chest was a pigeon, it’s head was pressed against its chest and the little animal looked more like a ball of feathers than an actual bird now. Some students had owls, Toby had a pigeon. He named the little one Pat, it was short easy and unisex as he didn’t know if the pigeon was a girl or a boy. It was still young, not even an adult yet. So future behavior would tell the answers.
The boy’s eyes were getting sleepy too. They had dark circles around them, betraying stress and a lack of overall sleep. However Toby’s mind was oddly at peace right now. Blue eyes were covered by eyelids and the boy dozed off. Forgetting about everything for a moment, including classes he might miss.

Amy needed some fresh air it could always get a bit stuffy in the castle and the Gryffindor common room, and besides lions were not meant to be caged. The 14 year old girl wandered out into the courtyard she had briefly thought about going next to the lake or by the greenhouses but the she felt more in a courtyard kind of mood today. Besides Autumn was setting in and if she felt cold she could always head into the castle. Although Wales was known for being wet and, sometimes cold, Scotland was a lot colder.
The Gryffindor had no real plan in her mind. This was just to get some air and to clear her mind. The girl was carrying a copy of the Daily Prophet with her however which she was going to read. Even if they were in Hogwarts that was no reason to avoid keeping abreast of all the important things happening in the wider wizarding world. Especially during what seemed to be troubling times . Hopefully things will settle down. It would do her no good to worry about things outside of her control in any case.
The young Welsh lass was about to find a place to sit down and read her paper when she noticed her house mate, Toby, was sleeping on the lawn. She briefly wondered if she should leave him there to sleep but probably best not. Her year mate would probably miss his classes if he was not awoken up. Either that or have some horrible student decide to pull a prank on two on him. Besdies which a pigeon had decided to camp on his chest.
The 4th year wondered over to her contemporary and knelt down next him. ”Hey Toby...” she said giving him a slight shake. Amy hoped that he wondered mind her waking her up. ”@julia7 ....you oaky?” she asked again as she shook him gently. The witch in training was being as careful as she could not to distrub the little bird while she was waking her friend. "Youu can stay thetre if you want, my little mate, I am sure Toby won't mind." she said to the avian.

Tobias was soon deep in a dreamless sleep. Which in his case were always the most peaceful rests. Whenever Toby did dream it turned into a nightmare. Those nightmares woke him up and made it unable to sleep again. He didn’t feel the first shake, the words had also missed him. The second shake did wake him up.
The boy groaned and opened his eyes with trouble. He didn’t get up yet, instead a pair of blue eyes tried to search for whoever dared to wake him up. He saw a girl from his class. Seeing he never really spoke with other students unless he was sorted into a working group with them, he wondered why she approached him. “Urgh, why? W-what is it?” His voice wasn’t annoyed, more tired. He brought his hands to his eyes and rubbed them before he closed them again. There was a warm spot on his chest, Toby peered through one eye to see a little pigeon. The sight made him smile. He’d actually never expected Pat to stay with him after the bird got better. But it felt good to have a friend even if it was a pigeon and not a human. With his surroundings secured, he relaxed once again but only because he was still drowsy.
