The Trophy room was one of Amy’s favourite places to visit for two reasons. Firstly it was a fascinate place to find out more about the background of famous historical people and what they achieved, if anything, when they were at school. It was very easy, in lessons like History of Magic or reading up about such figures in books, to forget that they were once children themselves and went to Hogwarts. That they had similar experiences to the ones that they were now having as students of Hogwarts.
This also fed into her second reason for enjoying visiting the Trophy Room. It was a great room when you needed to find inspiration from others. The students who achieved these things probably didn’t know that they would go onto achieving great things, and even if they didn’t they managed to achieve something in their school days that left a legacy in form of a trophy or award that future generations, such as herself, good look up to and aspire towards.
In fact the Trophy Room was one of the places the Gryffindor visited when she felt she most needed inspiration. Such as at the start of the school year to set herself up for what challenges lay ahead or before important exams or school events. It was her first visit to the trophy room since entering her fourth year.
The 14 year old wondered around the familiar trophies once again examining them and looking over the achievements of the past. She vaguely wondered if she would ever achieve anything that would warrant her name being made immortal in the Hogwarts trophy room. That would be something that she would love to happen and something which she would continue to work towards. But what that achievement could be she didn’t know.
Music maybe? That was her talent but would that warrant an award? Maybe she could do something brave and daring? Then again the purpose of her visit to the Trophy room was not for her to find inspiration of how to get a trophy into the room. She was pretty sure that, if she wanted to, she could. It was to help her look forward to the next school years. Then again were all her visits to the trophy room making her thirsty to get into it herself and, if so, was that a good thing? As she pondered this she didn’t notice a figure approaching her. The Welsh witch was very lost in deep thought after all.

Contrary to popular belief, the first year of anyone's school life - whether muggle or magical - wasn't as relaxing as how everyone had claimed to be. Of course it would seem easy for the older students when they looked back at their previous years, but that was because they should have already learned and grasped the basics by now. If they actually looked back hard enough, they would realize the struggles they had to go through to master the basics, the fundamental knowledge and spells that were the ground work to build up towards the more advanced skills. Right now, Miyu was going through that stage; it didn't help that European magic was rather different from the Oriental kind he had been taught by his parents. He had learned that the hard way during his first Charms class, in which he set off quite an explosion, reducing the feather he was supposed to make it fly to ash. He was reprimanded for channeling too much power into his wand - made worse at the horror of getting extra homework for his blunder. Well, at least he could cut some corners with theory essays and speed through them (it's all about making a logical argument), but the practical side was giving him a splitting headache. Maybe he just need a break; exploring the castle would be a good start. He left the Ravenclaw Tower and hopped down the moving staircases (they were fun to play with, but a total pain when you're going to be late for class). He stopped in his tracks from time to time, either to study the moving paintings and snigger to himself at the weird clothes the people of this continent had worn during the Victorian times and before, or tapping his fingers on the statues and suits of armor stationed along the corridors. He reached to a room that was filled with gold, silver and bronze - of trophies, medals, badges... an assortment of awards for all those who had done some form of services to Hogwarts. This must be the Trophy Room he had heard about from the upperclassmen - the Room of Immortal Fame. However, he wasn't the first one who had come into this room. He spotted a girl who was examining them, and she didn't seem to be aware of his presence. Miyu instinctively searched his own pockets... but was disappointed that he had forgotten to bring his joke stuff. Not even a piece of paper he could use as shikigami to do some tricks. He only had his wand. ...Oh well.He approached the girl as quietly as he could, then he blew a loud raspberry at her - like how Peeves would usually do. "Wha' choo lookin' at?" he asked, trying to look over her shoulder - but even after he tried to tiptoe, he was still shorter than the girl. Amy Westwood

Amy was thinking deeply about the trophies and what the people behind it have accomplished Hmm....maybe if..... suddenly she heard a loud raspberry being blown behind her and an annoying little voice trying to look over her shoulder. The 4th year jumped startled at the sound of the raspberry and almsot knocked over a trophey. She would have put the raspberry down to her brother but the voice didn’t match her siblings. Whoever it was though was being exceptionally rude and obnoxious towards her. It simply wasn’t on. The fact that it scared her didn't help her mood much either. The 14 year old spun around to face the vulgar little individual that blew a raspberry at her. It didn’t surprise her to find out that it was a boy, at least she thought he was a boy, that was being so uncivil towards her. Maybe the child could be a girl? It was difficult to tell but it usually was the boys that acted so rudely so she would assume he was male. If so she would bet that he hadn’t a sister but her own brother was more than capable of being just as discourteous towards her. Didn’t these boys know that they were meant to be courteous towards girls and show them some respect? Well she was certainly going to give this lad a piece of her mind. ”Just what do you think you are doing? she asked the little boy placing folding her hands and looking rather stern. ”Did your mum ever teach you that it was rude to blow raspberries at girls? Did she ever teach you to treat girls with respect and courtesy?” The 4th year shook her head at the lad ”And it is also very annoying to try and look over a lady’s shoulder asking her what she is looking at....” she said crossly at the Ravenclaw still with a serious look about her. ”Which, by the way, would be better if you said Excuse me please but my I enquire as to what you are looking at? And not...” The Welsh lass suddenly attempted to do her best impression of the 1st year ”Wha’ choo lookin at?” Really now. Who taught you to talk” the Gryffindor was about to shoo Miyu Kisaragi away when she noticed he house he was from. Suddenly she looked even more annoyed ”Did my brother put you up to this?” it was a far more annoyed tone for voice before than a cross one. If Don had made a first year tried to irritate her that was a new low even for him. ”You know, short with spiky hair, and annoying?” Amy thought it was a pretty good description of her brother but just in case “ ...goes by the name of Donald?” she added. If he was involved he was certainly in for a butt kicking.

Miyu arched an eyebrow at Amy Westwood's reaction - he had heard students of his year complaining about Peeves' horrible pranks from time to time, but he didn't know that something as simple as blowing a raspberry was more than enough to piss off a girl this much! Also, this girl sounded worse than his already strict mother - just listen to how she was ranting off her head at him now! "Observation Number Six: girls don't like people to blow raspberries at them... which means they don't like Peeves then," he mused out loud in a mock-serious tone and glanced off side, a hand under his chin in a thoughtful manner. Then he looked up at Amy, tilting his head sideways slightly. "I had to imitate Peeves to get your attention, that's all. You look like you want to get yourself sucked into those trophies." There were rumors about a few places within the school that some unfortunate students had fallen victim to... and were never heard of ever again. He couldn't help but shudder a little at the thought of that. The mention of Donald made Miyu frowned at the bigger girl... Wait, they were siblings? Now that she had mentioned it, he could see some resemblance between the two. Oh, so it was possible for families and relatives to be Sorted to different houses even if they shared the same blood... He knew that most of them were being Sorted based on the qualities the individual wizards and witches possessed, and the Hat was rarely wrong with its choice (well, it had been wrong, but it was still mostly right - that's the main point). "I know who Don is," he said, crossing his arms behind his head. "And no, why would he tell me to do that? He's just my friend; he doesn't own me or anything." Miyu narrowed his eyes at the girl, somewhat displeased. "I think it's not nice of you to assume that I'm someone's minion just because I'm short and small."

Amy frowned scornfully at the boy when he mentioned something about observation number six and girls not liking people blowing raspberries at them and then something about Peeves ”No-one like Peeves is a massive pain in the neck” she said a bit more coolly than previously. She was calming down a bit now and wondering if she didn’t overreact a bit. Well the boy was rude to her and he certainly should learn some manners towards girls but he was still a youngster and maybe didn’t know any better. Which was why she had to explain it to him she supposed. Her calmness however did ebb away ever so slightly when the Ravenclaw lad mentioned him having to imitate Peeves to get her attention and that he was worried he was going to get herself sucked into one of those trophies. ”Oh please....no-one is going to get sucked into a trophy. Those are just silly stories to scare silly little children.” she said in an ever so patronising manner. “Seriously. If this room was dangerous they would have sealed it off from students now wouldn’t then?” she said in a matter-of-fact tone of voice. When Miyu Kisaragi said he knew who Don was the Welsh lass replied, without missing a beat, ”Poor you....” it was not often that she made a joke (although not a total rarity either) but this one did take herself aback either so slightly. The 14 year old listened as the 1st year asked why Donnie would ask him to annoy Amy and that her brother didn’t own Miya. Now it was Amy’s turn to raise her eyebrows at how much she pissed off the boy by this suggestion. Her face slowly turned into a smirk ”I didn’t call you Don’s minion. I don’t think my brother is capable of having minions. He is too weak and....” she pulled a small face ”....overly polite for that.” well it was good that her sibling was nice (well apart towards her) she sometimes worried he would be too much of a good natured rug for people to tread on. Even though he annoyed the heck out of her she made sure that no-one would do that. "But I am sorry if I upset your oh so senstive male ego" her voice dripped with sarcasm towards the youngster.

Hmm. Miyu considered Amy Westwood's comment about Peeves: she was right to say that no one would want to cross paths with the poltergeist on their good day, but without that ghostly prankster around, Hogwarts would have fallen into shambles under the dictatorship of the Ministry's toad Doles Umbridge years ago. Besides being one of the many unlikely heroes who had saved the world from the Dark Lord and his Death Eaters, the boy was sure that no matter how righteous some of these 'lawfully good' students had claimed to be, anyone would feel smug to watch their enemies being an unfortunate target to Peeves' horrible jokes. He smirked slightly at the older Gryffindor girl - well, everyone's a hypocrite in their own ways, whether they wanted to admit (or even aware of) it, or not. When Amy chided him for his kind paranoia, that made the young boy roll his eyes. " 'The most dangerous place is also the safest', but it holds true the other way round too," he stated, quoting an Asian saying that he had read before somewhere... maybe in some muggle books, he couldn't really recall which at this moment. At her attempt to snark at his relationship with her brother, he responded with a mere shrug. As she had said so herself, Donald could be painfully polite at times, much to the young boy's annoyance - sometimes he even wondered if growing up would mean a higher tendency to chicken out from having some fun. Well, he would just have to enjoy his first year as much as he could before he had to face all the troublesome teen angst and whatnot. Why so serious? Why the long face? Urgh!He could say that for the girl before him. Something about the way she tried to joke with him felt... weird. She certainly had hit him in his sore spot - he hated people to question his manhood just because his time hadn't come yet (soon... hopefully) - but why would she want to try so hard to rile him, right after bossing him about showing respect for others? Was she so petty that she had to get back at him for blowing a raspberry at her? ...Everyone is a hypocrite, after all.Instead of making a snappy comeback at her sarcasm, he chose to regard her with a judging look. He wasn't going to give her the satisfaction that she could overpower him in a battle of wits, even if she was older than him. It wasn't just about his pride as a man (to-be) - hey, he wasn't Sorted to Ravenclaw out of the Hat's pity for him!

Amy raised her eyebrow at Miyu Kisaragi when she said that most dangerous place is also the safest and the same the other way around. Was this boy trying to be a philosophise? How cute she thought to herself with a little smirk on her face. Typical Ravenclaw she concluded. Still maybe there was some truth in it. The 14 year old tried not to look thoughtful over this. The last thing she wanted was for an 11 year old boy to think he provoked her thoughts. She noted that the young eagle merely shrugged at her little jab at her brother. She found it interesting that she reacted that way. Maybe it was something she could use to her advantage at some point. Anything, well almost anything, to get over her annoying little brother. Especially with his politeness and apologising. She sometimes wondered if she did it all intentionally just to wind up her. The Welsh witch frowned at Miyu when he regarded her with a judging look. Who was he to judge her? Yet again she raised a quizzing eyebrow wondering what the boy was actually up to. Was he trying to prove something of point or something? If so she wasn’t sure she was totally getting it. ”....” the young lady opened her mouth to think of something to say but closed it again. No, she didn’t want to be too mean towards the boy. After all he was only a first year. ”Well....whatever” is what, in the end, she opted for. ”You had any reason for coming in her?” she asked the little lad. ”...or were you just looking out for people being sucked into trophies?” she couldn’t help adding in a slightly mischievous manner.

Miyu shrugged at Amy Westwood's question about him dropping by this dusty room filled with the old glories of the predecessors of Hogwarts, all left here in the cold glass cases and pretty much forgotten, unless students like him and the Gryffindor girl decided to pay these metal bits a visit. He narrowed his eyes at the row where the House Quidditch trophies were kept - for more than a decade, only Gryffindor and Slytherin ever won the Cup, with no sign of the yellow badger and blue raven. Were the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws that awful in this wizarding sport? He wouldn't be surprised if people catcalled the 'Puffs for being "too grounded to even hit a Bulger at anyone" and the Ravens "only brains and no brawn" after seeing such a disappointing result. He was a little intrigued to see a certain name on a plate dedicated to the best Quidditch players - James Potter. Harry Potter's father was a Chaser? Ever since he came to Hogwarts, everywhere he went he could hear students whispering and gossiping about the 'Chosen One', so much so that it even became the topic of his History of Magic homework essay. Harry was a brilliant Seeker during his time in this school, and many assumed that his father was one too, that Harry had inherited James' Quidditch blood. Miyu's own father was also a Chaser in Mahoutokoro, and he did joke about his son being suitable to play Seeker if the young boy could be allowed to join the house team. The thought of it put a small smile on the first-year's face. In response to Amy's snark about looking for people to get suck into a trophy, Miyu rolled his eyes at her and pointed to a glowing trophy - the Triwizard Cup. "I read in one of the history books about a Death Eater turned that trophy into a portkey, transporting Harry Potter and another Hogwarts participant to watch the rise of the Dark Lord. Who knows if that portkey is still working after all these years?"

Amy yet again raised her eyebrow when the 1st year pointed out the Triwizard cup and saying how it was once a portkey. Of course a young Ravenclaw would know that wouldn’t they? Such book worms, such nerds. As he asked if the portkey still work she shook her head and said in a very serious manner ”Do you really think that they would keep an active portkey that lead to where the dark lord murdered another student?” it was unbelievable what some people were willing to believe. ”I am sure that it was deactivated by the then headmaster before being brought to his room.” Still it was a slightly uncomfortable thought that Voldermort culd have smuggled something like that into Hogwarts. It was meant to be one of the most secure places in wizarding Britain and the dark lord easily by-passed the security for his own nefarious ends. A small shiver went down her spine. Thankfully they didn’t live in such times now. She examined the trophy in question and spoke to the boy although she didn’t bother to face him. ”Still. It does show the reach that the dark lord had. That the triwizard trophy could be transformed into a port key in the heart of Hogwarts without anyone suspecting a thing.”. She supposed it would not do any harm. ”There is a lot of history here though. And I am sure that some of these artefacts might have been previously cursed. Maybe. But they certainly won’t be now” she turned back towards Miyu Kisaragi ”It a bit like the Defence Against the Dark Arts post. Supposedly that was cursed as well.” the 14 year old shook her head ”But it is a load of nonsense if you ask me. Something’s can just be plain bad luck or coincidental.”

Miyu responded the Gryffindor girl with a bored drawl, "Well, who knows? Nothing is foolproof anyway, magic or not." He shrugged, gesturing at the Cup with a lazy wave. "I guess as long as no one is stupid enough to touch it - or even steal it, who cares?" Folding his arms behind his head once more, he began to stroll around the room. "You're right about one thing, though. This room is sure a treasure trove of Hogwarts' rich history, and half of them weren't even significant enough to go into the history records in the school's library." He let out a sarcastic laugh in response to Amy's speech about Voldemort. "Even better that some of them were probably superficial rewards that they didn't deserve at all... or even cursed fame." His turned around to give the fourth-year a wry grin. "I don't believe in coincidence, only the inevitable," he said in a mock-cryptic tone. "There are unseen forces to guide or manipulate us to trigger certain events. Whether we are aware of it or not, or if it's for the good or worse, sometimes not even the puppeteer pulling the strings know, either." He wasn't that philosophical - merely quoting from a mixture of muggle media he had glazed over in the past - but he was having fun toying around with the Gryffindor's mind. To drive her around in circles. Maybe he was being an ass towards someone older than him - eh, it would be best that he didn't go there and make fun of a girl's age. That was a landmine he definitely wouldn't want to set off here, not when there was almost zero chance for him to win her in an actual wand duel. Amy Westwood

Amy frowned at Miyu Kisaragi when he responded with a bored drawl. Was she really being that boring? No she wasn’t she was pretty confident that she wasn’t. She decided to ignore his bored drawl for now. ”I think there are plenty of people who would be. Although touching it would be perfectly fine. As I said the school would have made it safe.” she gave a small shrug at the lad. If he wanted to be scared of a cup due to its rather morbid history then good for him. ”I think I am right about a lot of things....” she said with a small grin. She was 100% sure that she was right about 99.9% of things. The 14 year old did once think she was wrong about something but it turned out she was mistaken and wasn’t wrong at all. ”It is interesting to find some of the more....off the track bits of Hogwarts history. There is plenty of it about Hogwarts....if you know where to look.” although Amy was a very proper and serious student it didn’t mean she wasn’t adventurous. The Welsh witch did not like the boy’s sarcastic laugh. For now she decided to ignore it, but the boy’s attitude was slowly starting to wind her up somewhat. ”I am pretty sure that there are a lot of superficial wards to people who don’t deserve it.....you got to give the Hufflepuffs something after all...” she said with a tiny smirk. When the 1st year attempted a mock-cryptic tone and his attempt at philosophy her frowned deepened. Was he trying to mess with her? She was not entirely sure. Amy decided to play along for the time being although her irritation was starting to show. The fourth year stared at the 11 year old like he had taken leave of his senses. ”I don’t believe in fate....” she said flatly at the lad. ”We all make our own luck. Take our own chanced and forge our own futures. Otherwise what is the point of it all?”

Miyu rolled his eyes at Amy Westwood's response to his rhetorical questions about the Triwizard Cup. The serious way she replied to whatever he had asked was amusing - and annoying at the same time. Guess Gryffindor wasn't just an oddball house filled with twerps and jerks... which made him wonder why this girl wasn't in the same house as Donald, with the air of vanity he was feeling off her when she was showing off her knowledge. Or, maybe he should just be glad that she wasn't in Ravenclaw at all. The first year was sure he probably wouldn't be able to handle his Hogwarts life with a bossy senior like her hovering behind his back like an overgrown nosy bat. At her smirk about the Hufflepuffs, the young boy raised an eyebrow at her. "Nobody owes anyone anything, so why should we give the 'Puffs free medals? That's just like telling them that they are spineless. Either they've to earn it themselves, or get nothing at all." Regarding fate and luck, Miyu could only let out an exasperated sigh. That was why he couldn't stand idealists and their blindness towards the hard, real truth. "You're asking about 'the point'? Makes sense if you say we can try to chase after our desired future through hard work, but too much of a stretch if you say that we all 'make our own luck'." He snorted. "Are you saying that we can actually control luck? Even if we have some magical powers that normal humans don't have, we are no gods." Turning his attention back to the Quidditch Cups again, he said, "History is interesting, but also equally dumb if you read deeper into the stupidity of people repeating the same mistakes over and over again no matter which time period they were in." The muggle World Wars were one of the greatest examples to prove his point. "And well... if the teacher teaching us wasn't so hopelessly dry." He had to roll his eyes at the last line. "And speaking of which... what are you doing here, anyway?" He narrowed his eyes at the Gryffindor. "It's definitely not about these dusty trophies, or whatever history behind those glass cases." OOC:Sorry that I'm high on philosophical debates and stuff lately. I hope I didn't bore you (and Amy) with them... Anyway, I think it's amusing that they never bothered to ask each other's name, lol.

Amy frowned when the 1st year said that no one owes anybody, anything. She wasn’t being serious about the Hufflepuffs getting free awards. ”Well....indeed.” she said to him after his little speech about people earning it themselves or getting nothing at all. It was probably right, in a way, and her snide was more about Hufflepuffs being unable to get awards because they couldn’t earn it fairly. At Miyu Kisaragi’s exasperated sigh the 4th year girl could not help but raise an eyebrow. Had she frustrated he boy so much with her response. Although she felt that the small lad might not have understood her. ”I thought Ravenclaws where meant to be clever?” she said to him in a staid manner. ”I never meant that we can literally control our luck through magic...” although she did dully wonder if there were any potions that could change luck. She was sure that there was ”....what I meant was that we make our luck by the decisions we make. Things won’t just fall onto our lap. We got to make it happen through being brave and taking risks and taking opportunities as they come along” she said to him in very indifferent way. ”There is no destiny controlling us, no fate, no unseen forces guiding us. There is just us, humans, making decisions of our own free will, making our own choices.” she shook her head. Spiritual and superstitious nonsense really wasn’t something she could ever take seriously. On history, however, the small boy seemed to be talking some sense. History did have a tendency to repeat itself and what was the old saying? People who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it? It was probably correct. ”Well, on that.....we can agree” she said still in a serious manner. ”Hopefully we can get a new history teacher before long.” she said with a shrug. Very perceptive the Welsh witch thought to herself as the young boy seemed to get suspicious as to why she was really there. But she didn’t want to over share with this small Ravenclaw. Especially as she had a feeling that he might go and tell Donald about her using this place to try and get inspiration for her own courageous adventures. ”I told you....I like the history. Up to you if you believe me” she responded with a small shrug trying her best to sound dismissive and casual. ((OOC: Sorry for the later response. Been very busy. I like the philosophy stuff. It is unusual but very interesting to see how characters respond to philosophical discussions. Also I agree. I did think about having Amy introduce herself a few posts ago but I think it is more amusing this way. It suits Amy's character anyway.))

A contradictory feeling began to rise somewhere within Miyu. Part of it was an increasing annoyance towards this bossy know-it-all, but another part was a strange excitement at being able to debate on even ground with someone technically older than him. Ha, age doesn't denote a person's maturity - and how dare she question my intellect? At that thought, he stared at Amy Westwood with a look of disdain. "Yeah, I know where you're coming from about making choices and stuff, but you're totally missing my point," the young boy said. "There are things that are completely out of our control, regardless of the decisions we make. No matter how much we try to control the situation, or try planning ahead in pursue of a desired outcome, life just doesn't unfold as we predicted. Something else out of our reach must be influencing how things are going to happen, something we're not aware of." He shrugged. He felt that this girl was a little too optimistic for someone who was more rooted in practicality like him, but he guessed that it wasn't a bad thing. Rather, he felt a bit jealous at how people could have so much hope even if the circumstances was bleak and grim, while he was too hard-headed to try and search for something positive to look forward to. That aside, at least they had a few things they could agree on without going into another dumb argument. One of which was their sentiment towards the teacher of History of Magic. "It's amusing to have a ghost as professor, but Binns is just impossible. I bet he has been drifting around for too long to feel any empathy for his students to realize we find him dead boring." He snorted. "Pretty sure everyone would welcome the idea of getting a new History teacher who doesn't sound like a faulty recording tape." The young raven could tell that the older girl was trying to shift his curiosity away from her true purpose for being here, in this dusty room filled with the glories of the past. Why would she do that - what was she trying to hide? "Oh? That sounds like you've been here countless times... Maybe it's my lucky day to bump into you here today, and perfect opportunity to get you to give me a gallery walk on all these dulled metals in this room." He watched her with a blank gaze. "Unless you're actually lying, of course." OOC:Sorry for the long delay! I admit that it seems somewhat unusual given that Miyu is only an eleven-year-old boy to know so much about these "mature" topics, but his intelligence is above average kids of his age, yeah. Glad that you enjoy the philosophy discussion between our characters. I see these threads as interactive prompts to encourage some character development before the site's main plot events, and to build relationships between our characters. A heads up that I'll be doing a lot of OOC footnotes from hereon, since there isn't an OOC thread anywhere on this forum for non-IC convos. I'm not used to how sparse social interaction is between the members of this site as compared to the other RP forums that I'm also active in. To me, RPing isn't just about writing back and forth with other RPers, but also to build social connection with them, getting to know them better and create more opportunities for collaborations and joint projects. I feel the need to get to know the people I'm RPing with better to enjoy writing with them more.

When the small boy looked at her with distain the young lass cocked an eyebrow in a quizzical fashion. Regardless Amy listened to the boy in his attempt to explain that he knew what she meant and that she was somehow missing his point Yea...right she thought to herself like I am going to miss the point of some little 11 year old boy. However she paid intention to what he had to say anyway, just to see where it was going it anything else. ”Yea....I know that some things are out of our control...” she said with a small sigh ”...but that does not mean that we cannot adapt to the situation, to turn to it to our advantage, work around it or overcome it. Like, little boy, is all about challenges and how we overcome them.” she gave Miyu Kisaragi a patronising look ”If you never try to overcome unexpected events, if you never raise to a challenge, if you fear the unpredictable and things outside your control too much that you never try then you are never going to get anyway. Making your own luck is about doing and taking the risk, no matter what, even in the face of the unplanned. And sometimes if won’t pay off but that is life.”The Gryffindor frowned a bit but was glad that the Ravenclaw first year had moved the topic onwards, for now. ”Poor Professor Binns. I bet he never thought he be spending his afterlife teaching. I do like History of Magic but the classes could use a bit more....” the 14 year old paused for a moment. She was going to say life but that seemed inappropriate. What would be a better word. ”....dynamism” she settled for in the end. ”Still I am not sure how you can get rid of a ghost professor. It is not like he can retire or get another job after all. Maybe encouraging him to move onto the otherwise would be the only way to do it.” she wondered if Binns had any family left and if he gets to see them. That was a grim thought. Most of the ghosts family had probably long gone. The Welsh witch decided to let this train of thought go. It was starting to depress her. Besides the nosy Ravenclaw was again trying to discover why she was down here. ”I would love to give you a guided tour but you must be this fall to qualify” she held her hand up way above the 11 year olds head. However upon being called a liar she narrowed her eyed dangerously at the boy ”You know. Since my 2nd year the only time I’ve hexed a first year was a brother. Call me a liar again and you might be the next” it was an idle threat, of course, she would not attack a younger student unprovoked. Well unless it was Donald annoying her. But maybe it would work.
OOC: That is fine. I've been posting a bit slow as well. I agree that topics like this are good for character development and relationship building. I do enjoy them. Although having plots can be good as well. I enjoy the OOC aspect of forums as well as the IC stuff. Especially forum games and general discussion threads. I think people are capable of doing both myself. All of my characters have elements of myself in them in one way or another and I feel that is the same about most characters so getting to know the person behind the RPs can be interesting.
