DESCRIPTION: Kgosi is a man that radiates both physical and mental strength. He has a long, muscled build and he stands proudly with his shoulders back and spine straight. The normal set of his face is serious and solemn, occasionally softened by a genuine and wide smile. Kgosi has soulful brown eyes and formerly dark hair now peppered through with grey, which he boasts as a sign of wisdom.

GENERAL PERSONALITY: Kgosi may not look it, but he is a warm and welcoming soul  Once they get past his initial rough exterior they find that he is a kind, caring man. Kgosi is a supportive person who always wants to push those around him to their full potential. He is a bit older and therefore set in his ways and can be easily flustered by what he terms the 'younger generation' and their laid back ways. Kgosi is a man that cares more about what is right over what is legal and is not above bending the rules to benefit the greater good. While he can appear harsh, especially when provoked, he will go to the ends of the earth to help those in need.

Kgosi doesn't like to talk about his past much. His childhood was a relatively happy, normal childhood for the first five years of his life. As he got older things started to happen around him that he or his parents couldn't explain. Glass objects would shatter, things would change color and Kgo had the peculiar habit of turning up in places that were impossible for him to get to on his own. His aunt accused the boy of witchcraft, a crime punishable by death in his tribe. His mother feared for his safety, refusing to believe that her child was caught up in something so unholy. One night the entire village was in an uproar, an incident had happened earlier in the day around Kgo that left another child injured. His mother, blinded by love for her son, took Kgo and escaped into the night, leaving behind his father and several siblings. Kgosi was six.

 The pair left for one of the larger cities and lived on the streets for awhile until Kgo's mother grew sick and died, leaving him to roam alone at the age of nine. He carried a lot of guilt, mysterious things still occasionally happened around him and he blamed his mother's death on their poverty and poor living conditions. One night while he was curled under damp cardboard boxes trying to stay warm, right after he'd just drifted to sleep, he was visited by a dream walker that explained that magic was real and he was a wizard. When he was of age he went away to school where he made quick friends. The boy excelled in Transfiguration and was the first in his class to reveal his animagi form which is a Grey African Parrot. During school the current Transfiguration professor took Kgosi under his wing, going as far as to offer him a place to stay when school wasn't in session.

The kindness inspired him and five years after graduation when his old professor retired, Kgo took the man's position. As a Professor he went out of his way to help students and to make sure they felt welcomed and did well in school. This is where he met Aje, a quiet and shy boy. Kgosi mentored the boy in his academics, forming a strong bond during the child's time in school. They lost contact once Aje moved away to London to play Quidditch.

Recently Aje returned home to seek out trustworthy people he believed would have the skill and desire to help manage the growing conflict in England. Aje sought out his old professor and explained about Death Eaters, the corrupt Ministry, the creature uprising. He told him all about The Order of the Phoenix and how he thought that Kgosi and another would be good additions to the secret society, that their animagi form would be useful for reconnaissance and espionage. African wizards are not registered as animagi with the British wizarding government, no one would be the wiser. 

Sensing an opportunity to do some good in the world, Kgo agreed. He, Makena and Tau moved into the attic of Number 12 Grimmauld Place while they establish themselves in Britain and within the Order. Kgosi is fond of both his new companions but finds Tau's youthful ways easily gets on his nerves.
