DESCRIPTION:Tau is tall, like the rest of his family but that's where the similarities stop. His skin tone is much lighter than the rest of his family's leaving unspoken speculation that he is not his father's son but the result of a brief 'fling'. The young wizard's hair is as untamed as his spirit, sitting atop his head like a crown. Despite his sister's efforts to keep him 'presentable' he often sports a stubbled chin and likes to slouch and lean against the nearest wall or counter.

GENERAL PERSONALITY:  In the dictionary under 'Muffin' you'll find a picture of Tau Ibori. He's a sweet guy without a bad bone in his body. His intentions are always good although sometimes misguided. Tau never quite grew out of teenage impuslivity and is quick to make a decision even before he has all the facts. Thankfully he is loyal to people and not opinions and can be easily swayed out of a bad choice by someone he trusts and respects. He is always looking for a challenge or a competition and is a very sore loser. While he seems to make a game out of pestering the oldest of their little trio he holds a deep respect for Kgosi and looks up to the older man. When not making a pest out of himself or getting into trouble Tau can be found in the kitchen, cooking up something tasty. Tau takes other people's opinions to heart and is bothered greatly when someone is unhappy with him, although he may be reluctant to show it. 


Tau also has a strong sense of right and wrong, he romanticizes the 'good fight' and is eager to make a difference. Like his sister, he will stand up for those who need it. He doesn't believe in allowing things to go unchallenged or allowing people weaker than him to be prayed on.

Character History:

Tau is the youngest of a prestigious family in the Kenyan magical community. He had a relatively happy childhood although he never fully bonded with his father. His parents had separated briefly in the year before his birth and although his mother swore that she was never unfaithful, Hamisi was convinced that Tau was too light skinned to be his son and although he tried to think of the boy as his own, he fell short. Hamisi's affection was largely concentrated on his daughter and he was very hard on his son and their relationship was very strained. To compensate, Tau was very close with his mother who disapproved of the way Hamisi treated Tau but did little to encourage a better relationship, perhaps out of guilt.

Things improved mildly when Ena went off to school as Hamisi didn't have her to use as an excuse. When Tau joined his sister at the distinguished school he tried very hard to earn his father's approval but the man was very reluctant to give it. He was easy on his daughter, doting over the most mundane and average achievement while demanding excellence from his son. After awhile Tau stopped trying and scraped by in his classes, although his professors would describe him as bright, talented and capable. He was one of the first in his year to achieve a successful animagus transformation and became highly skilled in transfiguration, just like his sister. When his parents died, one after the other, Tau felt very guilty that he wasn't more affected by the death of his father but was devastated by the loss of his mother. The boy has deep rooted need for approval, having never earned his father's. 

Despite his intelligence, Tau failed a year of school and had to repeat it, graduating late. After he was done with school he drifted from odd job to odd job, growing bored and restless easily and never quite finding his niche in life. When Ena was approached by Aje, Tau was eager to join the fight but was hurt to find out that Aje didn't want him. The Order member thought him too immature and risky to be of use but Ena refused to leave her brother behind and Aje relented.
