Hogwash Hogwarts is so cool! Well, Western magic is awesome - just look at the magic ceiling, the floating candles... and the food! There is a school club of sorts for chocolate frogs - eh no, it's more about collecting those famous people cards and trading them, which is kind of boring. I will never touch the flavor beans again who invented that disgusting box of crap

The other kids had raved about the four houses during the train ride: Gryffindor for the brave and fun, Hufflepuff for the grounded goody-two-shoes, Ravenclaw for the brains, and Slytherin for evil. I thought I'd be in Gryffindor, but the Hat put me in Ravenclaw instead. Made a few new friends - Bat and Don (I like how their names sound together). Bat's a prefect, but he seems pretty chill; Don's two years older than me, but nice guy... too nice, me thinks.

There was also this emo teen girl with a book and a death glare - she seemed so intense, almost like she'd literally silence me with a jinx or hex (or whatever that spell was) if I spoke another word to her. Though, I couldn't help wondering how could someone be so unsociable... I mean, no one can live alone in this world! People are everywhere! I do value my personal space too, but isn't she taking this a little too extreme? Or, I dunno, she's trying to avoid everyone? But why?

The Ravenclaw Tower is pretty weird - a doorknob that asks funny questions and expects you to entertain it with something equally crazy, and then there's this statue of our house's founder that practically screams vanity - but it's pretty cosy. And of course, everywhere is blue!

I don't even know why I bothered to write a stupid diary entry about my first day night at school this is like a dream I'm still so excited I can't sleep with my grammar all over the place and - you know what, who cares? Not like anyone will read this... I'll curse you if you dare you've been warned
