DESCRIPTION:Lucy holds herself with all the grace and poise of a ballet dancer. She tends to walk on her toes, which gives her a walk a sort of bouncy, floaty look. She hates wizarding robes, and much prefers to wear muggle clothing, when she can. She often gets into trouble for her language, and she incorporates 'damn', 'bloody' and 'bloody hell' into her speech far more than necessary. But unlike her mouth, her body is graceful and lady-like, and she very much likes to dress up in long, pretty dresses. She's also often found in a flower crown, and when she's at home her sisters' make up often mysteriously disappears.
She's about 4'8", following the family trend of being quite a bit below average height, but it's not something that bothers her (In fact, if we're being honest, she probably thinks it makes her look cute and is therefore rather proud of it). Though short, she's rather skinny, being a little below average weight (approximately 46kg), and can be seen as a bit doll-like, but she's by no means delicate. She's athletic, and her small frame does support some pretty good muscles.
PERSONALITY
POSITIVE TRAITS: Affinity for Astronomy and CoMC, very good at duelling, athletic, her nails are always impeccable, pretty, loves cats, comforting, helpful, amazingly skilled in ballet and gymnastics, graceful, ambitious, observant, good swimmer, quite good at tennis
NEGATIVE TRAITS: Has a bit of a temper, impatient, impulsive buyer, jealous, a teensy bit possessive, easily frustrated, lashes out when hurt, stubborn, can be selfish and insensitive to the needs of others, sly, hates not being good at something, , rather vain, hates showing any weaknesses, bossy, can be manipulative, rule-bender, holds grudges
LIKES: Ballet, history, Quidditch - though she's not quite as obsessed as some of her peers, the outdoors, sport, gingerbread (specifically her father's), the stars, make up, pink, cookies, cats
DISLIKES: Clumsy people (Merlin, her sisters grate on her nerves sometimes), tardiness, close-mindedness, disorganisation and mess, divination, failure, not being good at stuff, small spaces
HOBBIES: Sketching, history, duelling, stretching, finding loop-holes in things (especially school rules), shopping, painting her nails, running, swimming, flying, tennis, ballet, reading novels, staring at the stars, chucking random front and back handsprings because why not.
GENERAL PERSONALITY: Lucy can be petulant, and is guilty of thinking of herself too much. While she is kind and cares for others, she can be rather insensitive to their needs and oblivious to the fact. Once a someone earns her trust, Lucy deems them a friend for life. She can be possessive over her friends, and has a bit of a jealous streak, surrounding not only romantic interests but her friends, too. Betrayal from a friend would end the friendship instantly, and there is pretty much no hope of ever regaining Lucy's trust - she's one to hold grudges 'til the very end. She might eventually let them back into her life, but she won't forget, and the full trust isn't likely to ever resurface.
Lucy is a perfectionist. She wants everything to go exactly as she planned, and to be the absolute best. She hates not being good at something, and as such, tends to stay ahead of her classes and homework. She's ambitious, too - wanting to become a top ballet dancer, keep up her gymnastics and score Os on all her NEWTs - something which some of her friends don't believe she can do. But once Lucy sets her mind to something, there's no stopping her. She is one determined little witch.

Character History: Venus Elle was the illegitimate daughter of two "muggle" celebrities in England, Élisabeth and Florian. Both were French Veela, and while Élisabeth used her magical charm to marry high-class, Florian used his natural charm to become a muggle moviestar. They met when they were both in their early twenties, and, having so much in common, began series of escapades after that meeting - an affair. Fortunately for both of them, the affair was never found out, for Élisabeth's husband died of 'mysterious circumstances', and she claimed the child to be that of her deceased husband. Florian also died some time later, of muggle disease tuberculosis. Venus was raised in a small cottage not far from the castle, where Élisabeth and her husband had lived.
Henry was the son of a Veela and a muggleborn witch, his father breezed in and swept his mother off her feet, but as soon as he knew she was pregnant, was gone quicker than he had come. Henry was an only child, and it was often said that he and his mother raised each other. She was only just seventeen when she gave birth to him, and gt quite sick during the pregnancy. She never recovered from this, and, while she tried her best to raise he son, he helped her with everything, more and more as he got older. She died when he was seventeen, and though Henry was sad, he had been expecting it for many years, and his grieving period was surprisingly short.
Venus met Henry in the local coffee shop when she was eighteen, where he instantly recognised her for what she was. Though Élisabeth had known about witches and wizards and magic, she had never shared that knowledge with her daughter - only that they were magical beings that attracted men, called Veela.
Infinitely attracted and intrigued by this man who wasn't entranced with her Veela charms (because, as he claimed, he was Part-Veela himself, a new concept to Venus), the two met up almost every day, and, despite him being six years older than her, she had soon decided that she was in love. Thankfully for her, he was quite happy with her too, and her mother approved of the relationship. The two were married exactly a year after they met - though Venus was already pregnant at that point, in September 2003, the twins, Luna and Celena, were born. Elle followed just over a year later, and, by accident, Lucy, nearly five after that.
Lucy was born on a bright and sunny day, and she was a baby whose laugh was adorable and happened often. She quickly became a favourite child, and all of her siblings doted on her. She was found she gravitated more towards Luna as a sister - Elle was too girly and focused on being grown up, and Lena was too rough; Luna seemed to be a perfect mix of both. She started ballet at four when she asked her mother if she could do so, and then gymnastics a year later. She's always been naturally flexible, so both came easily to her. The day after her first ballet lesson, she was dancing in the living room, so excited about her new hobby. The little girl was so determined to make the teacher happy the next week by doing it right that she had been practicing for nearly a whole hour. As she neared the end of an hour, she was becoming rather tired and erratic -as four year olds do- and a fly that had been buzzing around her for the past five minutes and annoying the frustrated child to no end exploded in a flash of light, and then it fell to the floor, very obviously dead. Already having watched her father use magic, the bright four-year-old came to the conclusion that it was most certainly her who had done it, and she cried for three whole days - "I didn't mean to kill it!".
Lucy has always loved her ballet, and at the advice of her ballet teacher she took up gymnastics for a few years to learn some basic tumbling to help with her ballet. When she reached the end of that period, she decided that she didn't want to quit and has kept up both ever since (although the last four years of school have meant she's been limited to summer ballet school and summer gymnastics classes only). Lucy's aware of the fact that one day she'll have to choose - and that choice will be ballet, but she's going to hold onto gymnastics as long as she can. Her love for sport doesn't stop at gym and dance. She's always loved to swim, and she's always playing some sort of sport. She's fit - her athletic life means that she keeps slim and healthy, and she enjoys stretching and running to keep that up when she's away at school. Though she's tried many sports, Tennis has been her favourite.
When she got her letter to Hogwarts - which she'd been waiting for her whole life - Lucy was ecstatic, and she disappeared off to join her sisters at school, who were all in their fifth year. Before she left, she begged her parents for an animal, but they told her to use Luna and Lena's owl - an answer that little Lucy wasn't very happy with. But her parents wouldn't change their minds, so she went to Hogwarts pet-less - much to her dismay. At school, she discovered that she absolutely loved school, and loved to learn. With her love of sport, it wasn't a surprise that she took to flying. While it actually took longer than she expected to figure out how to get the broom to obey her, once she got it, she worked on her skills at all hours, determined to be better. Lucy's not afraid of breaking rules, especially if it involves going up to the astronomy tower at night to watch the stars. Although that particular offence isn't so easy to talk her way out of, Lucy is excellent at rule-bending and finding loopholes in the rules that the teachers set.
This summer, Lucy finally got herself a summer job at a muggle clothing shop. She saved up her money for most of the holidays (which took a lot of effort to cut down her shopping habits) and when she presented her hard work and begged for a kitten, her parents finally agreed, and she went out to pick a cat, ending up with a muggle kitten - a ginger and exceptionally fluffy female namedApricot.
Lucy's just started her fifth year at Hogwarts, and she's recently taught herself to conjure flowers (she's been slaving over that spell for nearly two years, because it's NEWT level and she knows it), so she can often be seen in pretty little flower crowns, or, at the very least, a flower behind her ear. Last year, a space on the Slytherin Quidditch team opened up, and she got the spot. She made her mark on the pitch, and resolved to continue on the pitch for her fifth. She's a little worried about OWLs, but she's not one to panic, so the coming year shouldn't be too stressful, she hopes. Besides, she's not even sure she wants to work in the wizarding world. She wants to become a ballet dancer for a muggle company.
