DESCRIPTION:Ophelia often walks around with her head down, due to her general shyness. She bites her lip when she’s thinking and wrings her wrists when she’s nervous or stressed. She’s always tucking stray hairs behind her ears. She’s not one to raise her voice, but it’s easy to tell when she’s angry as she tends to cross her arms a lot more and gives the object of her frustration many dirty looks. She doesn't really have a fixed sense of style, but tends to wear flow-y and simple outfits.

GENERAL PERSONALITY: Ophelia is an extremely introverted young woman who would much rather stay at home and read a book than go out partying with friends. She has always loved to learn and has been addicted to reading every since she was a young girl. It is very rare that Ophelia is seen without her nose stuck in a book. She is a gifted healer and is highly intelligent, achieving top grades in all of her N.E.W.Ts and O.W.Ls. After becoming a mother, Ophelia had become a lot more independent and a little proud, she dislikes accepting help- even when she desperately needs it.

She is terrified of Thunderstorms and suffers from claustrophobia. She's gone by the nickname "Filly" since birth- though her father calls her Ellie. Se finds it uncomfortable if someone she doesn't know that well calls her by her nickname. She has been a vegetarian since she was 12 years old.

Character History: Ophelia Eleanor Prenderghast was born February 28th 1979 to first time parents Julia Mary and Lucas James Prenderghast. She got her namesake from Hamlet’s Ophelia and King John’s Eleanor, two of her mother’s favorite Shakespearean plays. Two days after her birth, her mother passed away and she was raised single-handedly by her grieving but loving father.
As a child, Ophelia was a curious little girl who was constantly asking questions about the world. She loved reading and used to beg her father to read her one more chapter of The Secret Garden every night. At the age of 8, Ophelia was classed as a genius by Mensa and was offered a placement at a prestigious grammar school which she was planning to attend after the end of her primary school days. That was until she received an owl which changed her life forever.
Ophelia began attending Hogwarts and was sorted into Ravenclaw. The poor girl was pulled out of her simple life with her muggle father and into a world of magic and of darkness. She excelled in all of her classes, pretty quickly becoming the top of every class apart from flying. She could never seem to get the hang of flying. This new world gave Ophelia a life of excitement and wonder which was so different from the life she was promised in the muggle world. One of those excitements came in the form of a Gryffindor halfblood in the year above her called Sam, who became her boyfriend after the two met properly at the Valentine’s Ball.
Being a couple of years above The Boy Who Lived, Ophelia knew quite a bit about his and his Golden Trio but didn't really socialise with their group. She attempted to speak out against the bullying that her fellow Ravenclaw Luna Lovegood faced, but no-one really paid her any mind due to how quiet she was.
When Ophelia left Hogwarts she had achieved Qualifications high enough to secure herself a placement as a Trainee Healer at St. Mungo’s. Months after she graduated from Hogwarts, Ophelia was given yet another surprise. She was pregnant. She told Sam who seemed to be a lot less thrilled about the situation than she was, and the two got engaged. They were hoping to be married a year after their engagement.
After the Death eaters infiltrated the ministry, Ophelia and her fiance fled to France. She knew little of the language, but feared what could become of her and her children had she stayed in England as she was a muggle born. She worked several jobs whilst out there, unable to settle down in a stable career for the brief period she was there. As a result, life was a struggle. Ophelia and Sam often went to bed hungry whilst they awaited the end of Voldemort's reign.
On a rainy February afternoon, a heavily pregnant Ophelia arrived home after collecting some potions to cure her nausea. What she didn’t expect to see was her fiancé in bed with some other witch. Heartbroken, Ophelia broke of the engagement and told Sam she never wanted to see him again. She hasn’t seen him since.
Ophelia gave birth to twins, Robin Alexander and Imogen Juliet, on the 5th April 1998 in Lyon. They were born prematurely, but were both healthy much to her relief.
After the Battle of Hogwarts, Ophelia moved back to England with her children who were already beginning to show signs of their magical capabilities. She now works as a fully fledged healer in St. Mungo's and lives just outside of the City of London, as her father resides in a townhouse in the centre of the city.

Old books: Filly loves the scent of old books, the slightly sweet smell is a great comfort to her and reminds her of her father's old office which was piled high with old leather-bound books.
Coffee: Ophelia loves the smell of coffee although she is more fond of tea. The smell reminds her of her old cottage in France, which always smelt of freshly ground coffee.
Ginger: Ophelia loves ginger nut biscuits and the smell of ginger always makes her feel calm. It used to be a scen she associated with Sam when they were together.
