Greetings, students!
It is my great pleasure to announce the opening of the Fifth Annual Interhouse Tournament.
For those of you who do not know, or have forgotten, the Interhouse Tournament was founded in 2000, after anti-Slytherin sentiments within the walls of our school culminated in members of that House being hurt. For too long Inter-House conflicts have been a source of much mistrust, anger and misunderstanding in the walls of Hogwarts, and as such the staff and students of the school decided to put their efforts into working together.
As we already had a House Quidditch Cup, an idea for the Interhouse Cup was born, where teams of students from each House can work together to win prestige and prizes, as well as learn about the fine qualities that make up each House. Challengers can be accepted in both Quidditch and Quiz sections, and there will be challenges throughout the year for those that wish it, as well as various events to support house unity.
If you wish to sign up, please be aware that each team must have one person from each House, that each member must participate to succeed, and that there will be absolutely no funny business, pranking, or rude name-calling. In addition, you may be on up to two teams (one for Quidditch, one for Quiz) but no more.
I wish you the best of luck!
The first QUIZ CHALLENGE will be on October 22. The first QUIDDITCH CHALLENGE will be on November 6. Sign-up for teams will remain open throughout the year, but points to determine the winners of the year are cumulative, so those who sign up earlier will be more likely to succeed!
To sign up, you may choose a team to be added to, or create your own team!
As well, we know that there is an imbalance of students per House - thus, you may have TWO NPCS in your team (who can be swapped out later in the year if you wish). However, if that is the case, you must have at LEAST two playable students of different Houses on your team to participate!
The max number of students per team is 6.
If you wish to make a team, sign up with the team name, the names of the students participating, and the type of team (quidditch or quiz). If you wish to be added to a team, merely sign up for one of the names offered below!
More details on rules for the specific challenges and the overall game will be posted later on! Questions can be posted to the appropriate board or PMed to Minnie.
Have fun!!!
