Holiday Party // Multiple

Dear Mr. Wayland,

Thank you for the mail and invitation. I might be bringing my son, Miyu, along if you don't mind, since it sounds like there will be a Quidditch match of sorts - albeit casual - and I thought it'd be good to let him watch and experience what Quidditch is like. I'm not too sure about the sweater part, though... I mean, I don't think we own any that can be considered 'ugly', per se. Well, unless you mean that sweaters are simply ugly in general.

Mr. Wayland,

I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised to receive your invitation. But while the idea of giving my brother an aneurysm by attending a Christmas party hosted by a rival Quidditch team certainly sounds enticing, I am sorry to say I’ll have to decline. We have a family dinner planned for that night, and coordinating all the schedules for this crazy clan takes entirely too much work to cancel. As such, Trace and Emily will also be unable to attend. Although from one Slytherin to another, your evening might be safer without those two particular Arrows in it.

Since I have your attention though, I wanted to thank you. Hayden mentioned to me that the two of you have been writing occasionally. I know it means a lot to her, which means a lot to me. She’s a good kid. It’s nice to see her happy. I do feel obligated to warn you that if you hurt my niece in any way, you’ll have the wrath of the entire O’Brien clan to contend with. But I’m quite confident it won’t come to that.
