Life in the public eye was tedious and every so often, Alec needed to retreat into his own space for awhile. He'd taken a break from press and fan events for a couple weeks in favor of spending his free time at home, unwinding. It wasn't really the stress of his fame, not on it's own. The wizarding world felt... heavy lately. On the surface everything seemed calm but deep down, unrest was roiling just beneath. People were more wary and less friendly, the general atmosphere was tense and that affected him on a deep personal level. Alec was known to be very kind and compassionate, the suffering of others pressed uncomfortably on his tender heart.
But one couldn't mope forever. He'd taken a week or two away and it was time to get back into the swing of things. What better way than to be interviewed by the famous Ginny Weasley . He held the freckled redhead in high regard, both for her wartime efforts and her prowess on the Quidditch pitch even if she'd retired her broom. Personally, he liked her spitfire personality. From his limited interactions with her, Alec thought she was smart, funny and definitely a force to be reckoned with when she wanted to be. There wasn't a better chaser (except for his own, of course) and above all he could respect Quidditch skill.
The Captain had prepared tea and cookies ahead of time, having just pulled them out of the oven when there was a knock on the door. It was a splendid idea to meet at home, he was rather fond of his beach condo. He liked the beach, liked the smell of the sea salt and the sand between his toes. When the former Gryffindor arrived, signaled by a knock at the door he opened it with a friendly smile on his handsome face. "Miss Weasley." the Quidditch Captain regarded her with a nod of his head, ushering her inside with a sweep of his arm. "Please, come in. How are you?" He led the ginger haired witch into the atrium, motioning to a rounded table in the middle already set with a steaming teapot.
