The history of Ginny Weasley and her right shoulder is not a long one but Ginny can promise you it was a painful one. It all began half way through her first season of professional Quidditch. The outlook for the Holyhead Harpies season was real good. And Ginny was, if not stronger, at the same strength as the players she looked up to. They were in sights to win and boy, Ginny couldn't of been more excited. But in one game, the opposing team's beater had gotten the bludger right in her direction as she was watching the quaffle that had been passed her way. Ginny had been knocked right into the stands, right below the bottom row. She had attempted to grab on to the stands but there wasn't much to grasp and there was a sharp pain in her shoulder. She had insisted that she was fine after the fall and it took a good two hours before her coach threatened to kick her off the team if she didn't go to St. Mungos. Once there the pain started to kick in and Ginny became a bit of a mess. She had begun racking her mind of worst things that could possibly happen and spent the waiting time asking her mother what would happen if they had to amputate her arm. Yet, somehow finding out that her shoulder had been dislocated and her clavicle bone fracture seemed a lot worse then losing the arm. Out for the rest of the season, Ginny was asked by The Daily Prophet to do a feature in the paper of her reviewing The Harpies season. The idea of writing about quidditch since she couldn't play was good enough for her and she took very seriously as her articles became some what of a hit. She had her sights set on joining the team for her second season and everyone seemed to be rooting for her to come back. Unfortunately, she was still having pain in her shoulder during preseason and was put in the team as a reserve. Though the chances of her getting to play a game that season being low only got her to work harder. When one of the Chasers had drank a little too much the night before and she got to play. It was impressive too. She made about 8 goals and her team had won. But even the thrill of winning couldn't suppress the pain still in her shoulder. So, off to St. Mungos once again where she was told that quidditch was only irritating her shoulder and there only seemed to be one solution to the problem. No more quidditch. After debating against the leaving the sport she went back to The daily Prophet asking if there was still a spot for her. Luckily there was. From leaving quidditch Ginny was placed right under the position she would later gain. While being in and out of treatment for her shoulder Ginny only had two healers work with her. She was grateful for that, as she rather the healer understand what is wrong than having to reexplain every time she went in. At first she was with a nice old man, Healer Hale. He was a friendly guy and showing up to appointments usually made her feel better about everything. But after leaving Quidditch the man had retired and she was moved to a new healer was assigned to her case. Though it was pretty much checking the improvement of her mobility of the joint and making sure the pain was fading she still asked to keep herself with on healer. The day Draco Malfoy walked into the room of her first appointment was the beginning of an odd relationship. Ginny could not say that she didn't like the man but surely couldn't say that she liked him. She had respect for him and he handled his patients well. He even put up with the sass she gave him with even more sass. All this lead up to her most recent problem. Ginny had been good about quidditch and only did minimal amount of using her arm to throw when at the Hogwarts games. But it was when her and Harry were watching the Lupin twins that her year with out any shoulder problems ended. She had, after much begging from Teddy, picked up the five year old who was a lot heavier then when he was two and carried him around on her right hip as she looked through the books on the shelf naming titles to him. While he clung to her nicely he wasn't one to stay calm for too long. So, when he heard Harry call out his name Ginny was not prepared for Teddy using her arm as a fire pole to the ground. All of the five year old's weight on top of her not being prepared lead to her feeling a weird shifting in her shoulder. So, here she was today, sitting on top of the examine table waiting around for Draco Malfoy. Her legs swung lightly as her toes were a few inches from touching the ground. Looking at her face you wouldn't be able to tell anything was wrong and her body language only seemed to be as strong as ever. but if she took off the over sized sweatshirt, she wore a tank top underneath (Merlin, you people are gross), you would be able to see that her bad shoulder was swollen. Something that concerned her a bit. Draco Malfoy

Unlike the Chosen One, Draco's work involved cleaning up messes rather than making them. The fact that nosebleeds and sprains weren't as glorious as Auror work never occurred to Draco - who would want to be in the line of fire? As much as he disliked dealing with certain types of patients, he'd take that over wading through bureaucracy one day and having curses flung at his styled blonde head the next.
Unfortunately, that didn't mean he saw any less of Potter and his gang of misfits, which had expanded since school into encompassing the entire Order. He saw rather too much of them. During any given week, at least one of them was at St Mungo's, and though Draco didn't hate their company, they were a bunch of softhearted Gryffindors and they rather got in his way. If you were going to work in a hospital, you couldn't be having those kinds of pesky feelings like they were prone to do.
But that is a digression. On this certain day, Draco was hopeful he could get through without seeing hide nor hair of an Order member (his grudging gratitude for their assistance and support notwithstanding)... but unfortunately that was not to be the case. He was sent a memo about one of his recurrent patients, and the moment he saw the name, he sighed. Another Weasley. At least this one wasn't too irritating... though he'd never admit to it.
Pausing by a potions cupboard to grab a few things - he knew Ginny's medical file by the back of his hand - he headed down to the exam rooms, glancing at his watch as he did so. Grabbing the file that was waiting for him outside the room, he gave it a cursory glance as he swung open the door with a greeting of, "Do you think you Weasleys can stay out of my hospital for just one day?" Giving the redhead on the bed a nod and a small smile/smirk, he carefully set down his burdens and propped his hands on his hips. "Alright, Ginevra, what happened?" Draco eyed the shoulder, which was currently covered by a sweatshirt. "I thought that your shoulder was improving."

Ginny's feet stopped their swinging when Draco entered the room. There was no need to look inpatient when she was very much patient. she smiled at the man, "Well if isn't Healer Draco Malfoy. Fancy meeting you here," she joked. "It's not my fault Ronald crashed my broom," Ginny said bitterly. Ron had told her that it was Charlie that had done it but when she checked her sources, he hadn't come to England for any reason in months. She needed to get Ron his own broom. But not until he replaced hers. It was only fair.
Ginny made a face at hearing her full first name. It wasn't exactly her favorite thing to be called and she honestly wasn't all too use to hearing it. "Please if you are going to call me by my first name call me Ginny. Ginevra sounds like," she shrugged, wincing the tiniest bit at the pain she just caused herself. "It makes it feel like my mother is calling me and you, sir, are not my mother." she let out a huff, "I was holding Teddy and who roughly left my arms by hanging by my bad arm." She explained. She wasn't totally happy with the situation but she knew there was no need to be grumpy about it with the man. "It was getting better. But it felt like something shifted, I guess, and it's swollen now. I also have a sharp pain when I move it. And there's like a light ache when it's still" she knew the drill when it came to these appointments and found it best to explain what she could up front instead of finding out later.

Draco returned her greeting with a small smile, then raised an eyebrow. "Well, weasels weren't meant to fly," he said mildly, though there was no malice in the remark, just amusement. "Nor were they meant to blow themselves up in prank tests on a weekly basis." He tsked and put the file aside, eyeing Ginny's shoulder with curiosity.
"You're lucky I'm not using your middle name too," he retorted, and then reached out a hand to steady the shoulder as Ginny winced. Listening to her explanation, he hummed a noise of assent and eyed the shoulder. "Did it feel like a tear, a bruise, or just a shift?" he asked, gently tapping various parts of her shoulder. "Let me know if it becomes too uncomfortable." While doing a careful examination, as the arm did appear to be rather sore, Draco patted her shoulder. "I've finally trained you how to give a good patient history. Thank you. Can you lift your arm in front and then to the back for me, as high as you can go without it being too painful? Don't push it," he added, and pursed his lips thoughtfully before turning to his chart.

"Ouch," she said at his comment about flying, "That one actually hurt. But I can't say you are wrong. At least I don't keep going at it like him." Ginny knew that Fred and George did experiments all the time for their store and that when things went wrong they would get injured easily. But they always played it off as nothing as it happened too often. "I'm surprised those two haven't learned some more healing stuff by now. They really burden this poor place. Or they might keep you all in business." The order surely kept the place busy. it seemed like they were visiting a member here every month. But they all knew what they were getting themselves into when joining. "Is that even in my file?" she knew her full first name was because, well, it was her name. But middle names usually got shortened. Now she was curious. Was it Ginevra Molly Weasleyor Ginevra M. Weasley? Not that she didn't like her middle name. She looked up to her mother a lot. She has no idea how she could raise her and all her siblings. They were a rambunctious bunch.
Any form of a smile on her face disappeared at the question. Her shoulder was something she was really getting tired of dealing with. "It felt like a tear." Ginny huffed, "I think there's bruising. It would be on the back and I can't exactly see that so easily but I notice some on the top part of it this morning." Sure the tapping on her shoulder hurt but it wasn't uncomfortable. It was when Draco tapped the very top of her shoulder that she had a reaction. She moved her upper body away from the man's hand, "There." she rested her body back to where it was. She didn't like this whole being injured thing. It made her feel weak and she hated that feeling. Which was probably why she didn't let Harry in on how much pain she was really in. She wanted to deal with this on her own right now.
"Oh, don't go giving yourself all the credit. I've had plenty of experience." So much so that she had done that test herself. She had told herself she wasn't bringing herself to St. Mungo's until she couldn't lift her arm to be parallel with the ground without pain. She figured it wasn't anything to worry about if she could lift her arm that high. And, as you can tell, she clearly couldn't lift it that high as she was sitting here. She tried to not make it noticeable that she was taking a deep breath before finally lifting her arm. She raised it to just below being parallel with the ground. It hurt. Her arm was bit shaky and it was clear she was holding back making any faces that would resemble extreme pain. It didn't last long. She ended up lowering before she even spoke, her left hand holding the other arm bent at the elbow when resting by her side again, "It's been a few days," she explained, knowing not to hold back anything, "Each day I can't raise it as high as the last." she knew she should have come sooner but she was just too stubborn.

"Did you just admit I'm right?" Draco asked with visible amusement, drifting over to check out the potions stores in the room as he did so. "Can I get that in writing?" He peered around the cupboard door and smiled, adding more sincerely, "At least you're a good patient. I'm pretty sure that some of your brood are searched every single time they show up here after that debacle with orange-scented mouthwash and sparklers." Draco pursed his lips at the memory and turned from the cupboard, satisfied. Tapping his chin thoughtfully, he replied, "That's ... confidential, Red." with only an amused gleam in his eye to show he was joking.
Getting down to business, Ginny described a concerning incident which had Draco sobering, shifting from his sass-a-Weasley mode into Healer Malfoy. Listening attentively, he nodded and tapped, noting how Ginny recoiled from the brief touch. "I see," Draco hummed thoughtfully. "I won't poke you there, then. Is the pain in a specific spot, or is it radiant?" He continued, peering at the cloth-covered shoulder. Ginny lifted it, obviously struggling but determined not to show it, and Draco made a small noise to indicate that she should stop. Continuing to listen, he frowned at the admission that it had been a couple of days. "You know better," he reproved, stepping back to the cupboard for a topical cream. "On a scale of one to ten, if ten were unbearable, how bad is the pain?" he called. Then he added, "And has the pain been changing?" Returning with cream in hand, Draco asked, "Can you take the sweater off without pain? I'd like to see this injury, get it a bit less painful to start," he finished easily, holding up the small pot of gel.

"I don't believe those exact words came from my mouth," she was trying to say Ron wasn't meant to fly. Ginny fully believed she was meant to fly. She just had a little thing that got in her way. (Her shoulder. that's the little thing.) "Nope, I work for the prophet and my contract does not allow me to do any requests on non-sports related topics." Ginny shook her head at the mention of her brothers' crazy antics. Sometimes she felt like she had heard just about everything there is to hear about her brothers and then someone else is able to throw something else at her. Her nose scrunched up, "Don't call me that either." she didn't like the nickname anymore then she liked being called by her full name, "You could possibly be referring to anyone in my family with that one. I'll never know if your eyesight is going and you can't tell who is who."
After all the time spent here, Ginny had seen Draco go from St. Mungos' sass master to a very professional healer many times. She respects that he could do that. Sometimes she had let interviews steer off topic way to fast. It was always hard to flip those switches in life. "My shoulder as whole hurts but it's the worst right above my shoulder blade." Compared to the accident that started all her shoulder problems this seemed a lot worse than the most recent incident. Her stubbornness only seemed to make things worse, "Are you going out of your way to sound like my mum today?" she said to the man with an eye roll she tried to hold back but efforts barely worked. "I'd say say it's a reasonable person's six maybe six and a half." reasonable person meaning that usually downplayed the pain but she tried her best not to do that like she used to nowadays. "Stable-ish. I probably would have made it worse by not doing anything about it," she explained, "Shouldn't be a problem." She said as her left arm recoiled from the sleeve. her hand lifting the sweatshirt over her head and guiding it off her arm. A small face was made when she had to lift her right arm to fully free the garment.

Draco scoffed. "I'll take my victories where I can get them," he told her, lips twitching in a small, but real, smile. "I never know when this day may come again." He sighed in resignation at her prompt retort, though he was soon returned to a satisfied smile at her irritated expression. "You mean you don't all look the same?" he teased. "Shocker. What should I call you then?" Draco, very graciously in his opinion, gave Ginny a few moments to come up with her own nickname.
Ginny was an excellent patient, really, even if she gave him sass she always gave him the information he needed. "Here?" he drew a short line above the spot she described, barely touching her so as not to push the injury. He chuckled. "Just filling in temporarily," he told her, raising his eyebrow in confidence. "Are you a reasonable person?" Draco mused, and then put down the potion to help her get her sweater over her injured arm. He swept the red hair out of the way gingerly, and then opened the gel. "Alright, you know the drill. This is going to warm up." Pulling on a glove and picking up a reasonable amount of orange gel, Draco started to spread it over the pained spot, working it in with gentle circles. Once it was applied, he gently smoothed it back and forth, not putting pressure on it but evenly distributing the gel. "So far so good?" he murmured, eyes on the gel as it slowly turned pink, indicating it was getting warm.
