DESCRIPTION:Isn't she lovely, isn't she wonderful~
Sophie has always been a beautiful woman, but is different to the usual elegant and fashionable high class Pureblood women. She far prefers being outside surrounded by her plants and the stars than cooped up inside, she often has dirt wedged under her fingernails and her hair up in a messy bun. She has kind eyes that are very emotive, it is easy to tell how she is feeling just from her eyes, and is often seen with a tired but warm smile on her face. She has a terrible habit of cracking her knuckles and scrunches up her nose when she's frustrated or thinking. She is rather small in stature, at around 5"3, but can be very formidable when she is angry.

GENERAL PERSONALITY:
Sophie, Soph, Love or Ma- whatever she is known as most people who know her agree that Mrs Thundersleigh is a powerhouse of a woman. She cares a great deal for her loved ones and has little tolerance for people who think too highly of themselves, often bringing them back down to earth with a bump. She is quietly confident and often quite cynical. She's very critical of herself as she is an incredibly talented and intelligent individual. She knows the names of every constellation and can point them out easily in the night sky, as well as (almost) everything about the planets in the solar system.

Sophie Annabeth Brody was born to middle class Purebloods, Louisa Charlotte "Lottie" Brody (nee Goole) and Maxwell Logan Brody, on the 26th October 1962. The couple had been trying for years to have a child before Sophie was born and she became their miracle baby, Lottie was 45 when she became pregnant. They had wanted a big family but due to their circumstances, Lottie was unable to have any other children after Sophie's birth. The Brody's lived in a large country house just outside of Godric's Hollow inherited from Lottie's side of the family.
Sophie's childhood was blissfully uneventful. Her parents cherished their little miracle and gave her everything her heart desired. Other children would become bratty and spoiled by this treatment, but Maxwell ensured his daughter remained humble and learned to work for her keep. Sophie was a definite daddy's girl growing up, her father was her idol and her greatest tutor. He taught his daughter everything he knew, from every constellation and what each star sign meant to how to properly grow rare herbs and dangerous plants. Her head was filled with knowledge and she always craved more, reading became a passion of hers. Her mother too taught her a great deal about the world, though most of her lessons were about tolerance. The Brody's were not one of the sacred 28, nor were the Goole's, and Louisa was keen to ensure her daughter grew up tolerant of other backgrounds. She constantly reminded her daughter that her blood didn't make her any better than the other students, it was her mind that set her apart. Her mother also became her music tutor; Lottie herself was an incredibly talented musician who could play no less than 10 different instruments. Her daughter took to the piano and Louisa was more than happy to teach her everything she knew. Sophie dearly loved both of her parents and would spend as much time as she could with them both, even joining his father at the Ministry or her mother at St. Mungo's whenever she was allowed. She would often entertain the children at St. Mungo's by playing songs for them or starting sing songs in the Janus Thickey Ward to entertain the patients there.
Sophie joined Hogwarts in 1973 and was somewhat of a hat stall. The sorting hat took quite a while to place her, stuck between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. After a tense two minutes of deliberation, she was sorted into Hufflepuff which was a slight disappointment. Book smart Sophie wanted to follow in her father's footsteps, Maxwell had been a Ravenclaw, and couldn't understand why she'd been placed in such a boring house. But rather than moping about it, Sophie decided she'd do everything in her power to prove the sorting hat wrong. She quickly became the top of her class in Herbology, thanks to her father's tutoring, and achieved high marks in every single one of her classes.
As she got onto the Hogwarts Express at the start of her Second year, she spotted a Slytherin boy looking rather alone as he stared out the window in a compartment on his own. Remembering her mother's words of tolerance, she didn't pay attention to the silly rumours that all Slytherins were inherently evil and decided to sit with him instead of her large group of friends. Though the first ten minutes of the ride were a little awkward, with the boy in shock that anyone wanted to sit with him and Sophie struggling to think of conversation topics, the two quickly began to bond after the initial discomfort faded. They found that they had quite a lot in common, with them both being dissatisfied with the sorting hats decision and coming from more tolerant pureblood families. They even shared a love for space and all things to do with Astrology. The two talked non-stop for the rest of the journey about their hobbies, their favourite subjects, their families and their holidays as well as silly topics like what they'd do if they were left on a desert island or what animal they'd be if they could (Sophie chose a rich house cat and the boy a mountain lion). They'd talked so much that they forgot to introduce themselves until they'd left the train, when the boy introduced himself as Everett Thundersleigh a third year Slytherin.
The two used to send paper aeroplanes across the Great Hall at meal times, annoying most of the students who sat around them, with notes about classes they had and random things that had happened throughout the day. They'd often met up at the quad after classes, staying there until curfew and sometimes later when they could get away with it. The two became close friends, sharing everything with each other.
This friendship continued up until Sophie's fourth year at Hogwarts, when Everett began to avoid her. Sophie was convinced she'd done something wrong, though she didn't know what. She assumed it was her fault and worried endlessly about what she'd done to offend her friend. This went on for three torturous months. Until one day when Sophie saw Everett walking out of the dungeons when she was on her way to her common room. She stopped him, backing him up into the corner and demanded why he'd been avoiding her.
At first Everett refused to talk, barely looking his best friend in the eye. But as Sophie began to give up and walk away, he grabbed her wrist and asked her to stay.
Everett opened up about everything: his mother had been accused of her husband's death and was being held in Azkaban until her innocence could be proven and Everett had discovered that his late father had links to Lord Voldemort. As his father and mother had both been in Slytherin, Everett decided this proved that all Slytherins were born evil. After making this conclusion, he began avoiding Sophie because he didn't want hee to get caught in the cross fire when he- inevitably - turned to the Dark Lord. Everyone was saying it so it had to be true...
Sophie was in shock, feeling a great deal of empathy and love for the poor boy in front of her. Though he was a year older than her, he seemed so much younger and more vulnerable as he stood before her. Before she could even comprehend what she was doing, she'd pulled Everett towards her and kissed him firmly. After she pulled away, she ran off into her common room leaving a flabbergasted Everett behind.
They avoided each other for a couple of weeks until Everett confessed to her. They began dating in secrecy, knowing that it'd be scandalous if word were to get out, meeting in empty classrooms or on the outskirts of the Forbidden Forest way after curfew.
They continued this way for two months before Sophie told her best friend about her relationship.
Word spread fast about the two of them. Some were supportive but most thought that Everett had charmed or poisoned Sophie in order to win her over. They found it hard to believe that such a beautiful, intelligent and caring girl would fall for a Slytherin who's parents were accused of using Dark Magic. Nevertheless, the two soldiered on, naively believing that the two of them were meant to be.
Sophie did exceptionally well on her NEWTs, every single one of her grades was an E or above, and began working as a freelance Herbologist and Journalist when she left Hogwarts. She moved into a small cottage with Everett after her graduation and got engaged to him a few months later. Amelia was proven innocent after spending 6 months in Azkaban and moved in with the two of them after selling the Thundersleigh Mansion.
Sophie Annabeth Brody and Everett Tobias Thundersleigh were married on September 4th 1982. After the marriage, Everett became increasingly worried and paranoid about the threat that Lord Voldemort posed to his wife and their future children. While it seemed that he'd been pacified after the Attack at Godric's Hollow, Everett expected that he'd return and this time he'd have an army. Out of fear for what the future held, he joined the ranks of the Death Eaters.
Sophie was devastated when she found out what her husband had done. It was so unlike Everett and it went against everything she associated with her love and childhood sweetheart. She - wanting to help her husband anyway that she could - began training to become an Animagi so she could learn more about what the death eaters were planning and what exactly her husband was being forced to do.
Everett changed from a slightly cocky but powerful and loving man into a broken and distressed shadow of a person for the 36 months he was a death eater. Although he, fortunately, never had to kill anyone, he had a hand in various events that endangered the public. The language they used when talking about muggleborns was enough to make him want to throw up. He was disgusted that people like this actually existed.
Sophie and Everett's first child and only son, Phoenix Maxwell Thundersleigh was born on 15th May 1984. After his sons birth, something in Everett snapped. He knew he had to get out. He didn't want his own son hating him as much as he hated his own father. And so, on the 4th July 1984, Everett stole as many files, plans and diary's he could get his hands on and fled the country, taking his mother, wife and son to an abandoned and dilapidated old Mansion somewhat aptly named Darkwood Manor. The house had a glamour places over it, making them invisible to the outside world. All food was brought in by the Thundersleigh house elf who had helped Everett escape Voldemort's clutches. The only one who left the house was Sophie, who would fly around in her Animagus form to find out information about the outside world so they could find out when- if ever- it'd be safe for them to return. They remained in that house for four years, until Sophie was due to give birth to their second child and had to be rushed to St. Mungo's hospital.
Rayne Amelia Thundersleigh was born on the 10th of May 1988 and immediately after, Everett was rushed to the Ministry of Magic for questioning.
After confessing to everything and giving them all of the information he'd stolen, he was put on trial and was pardoned due to his deteriorating mental state and betrayal of the dark lord. This didn't stop the tabloids from having a field day with this juicy information: Death Eater found after missing for four years made for an interesting title.
As a result, the Thundersleighs quickly gained a reputation once again. Although they were now free to live their lives, they were not free of judgmental stares and disgusted mutterings. It was a miracle they managed to get a home in Godric's Hollow, mostly thanks to the Brody's who defended Everett.
Sophie began working again shortly after getting settled into their new house; doing the freelance work she used to do was difficult now people didn't trust her so she looked for employment. The only place that considered her was the Quibbler who welcomed her in with open arms and an open mind.
She also began tutoring her son in Flying and - whilst she was pregnant for the third time - her daughter in harp. She had her third child and second daughter, Wren Louisa, on the 20th of May 1995 a little while after Rayne's first concert.
The family was more or less settled and happy when yet another tragedy struck. Phoenix was turning up during the holidays with a black eye, bruised jaw and - in the worst case - broken ribs. He refused to say what had happened, but Sophie knew it couldn't have been Quidditch injuries.
After sitting him down properly, Phoenix admitted that the injuries had been causes by older students who'd found out about Everett's past. They used jinx's and curses, or fists, in order to make Phoenix pay for what his father had done.
Everett snapped, shutting down completely. He was unresponsive, refusing to eat and drink for a whole day. Desperate, Sophie took him to St. Mungo's.
Everett is now in semi-permeant care at St. Mungo's and the family visit him as often as they can. Sophie is working from home, ensuring that the house his running as normal during this difficult time.
