In some ways it annoyed Amy that she paired up with her brother for the duelling. Of course she loved Donald and all that but sometimes there was such a thing as spending too much time with someone. Still it was more her brother’s idea for them to duel together and, she supposed, it would give her chance to legally fire some spells at her sibling and best him. After all was that not what being a big sister was all about? Then again they wouldn’t really be firing spells at each other. From her understanding it be feathers they be flinging at each other and it be the feathers that would be getting the spells cast on it.
It wouldn’t be all that bad she supposed. At least they would have some banter with each other. Besides if he was going to be good at quidditch as a seeker he had to have some quick reflexes. Maybe this would help contribute towards the young eagle’s training. Did that make her a traitor to Gryffindor? Perhaps. Not that it mattered she supposed. The Lions would wipe the floor with the nerds from Ravenclaw.
Amy grinned as her brother joined her ”Ah, Donnikins...” she teased her brother with a small smirk on her face ”....glad you could come. I was getting worried you would chicken out.” she carried on taunting him in a sisterly fashion. Maybe this would actually not be so bad after all.

Donald was glad to have been paired up with his big sister Amy. He was really looking forward to working with her and trying to show off some of his skills in duelling with his older sibling. Besides it would give him an excuse to throw a pillow at Amy a few times without getting into trouble. He was fairly hopefully that he would be able to beat his sister, if such a thing could be achieved in this assignment.
Then again his sister was a year older than he was and, in theory, should know a bit more magic than him and, possibly , be more powerful than he was. Still he supposed that he would have a chance of succeeding in this assignment and it wasn’t really meant to be a contest, right? Still to outperform his sister that would be the dream.
The 13 year old boy entered the classroom and immediately flinched in annoyance when Amy called him Donnikins. He hated when she did that and he knew and she knew it. The small smirk on her face confirmed to him that his Gryffindor sister was in fall on tease mode today. Just great he thought to him. It was meant to be him annoying his sister not the other way around.
It irritated Don even further when Amy said she was worried he would chicken out. ”Oh Please....” he said trying his best not to sound too defensive ”...the only reason I would chicken out is that if I was too scared of hurting you. Now....” his mouth morphed into a smirk of its own as he picked up his pillow ”....I will try to go easy on you. I know you are just a girl after all.” that comment would get a rise out of his sister. Although he knew that he would probably pay for it when it came to Amy’s turn to fling the pillow. He just had to make sure that he would deflect them well enough.

Amy smirked at her brother when he started to tease him back but that smirk didn’t last for long. As soon as he said she was just a girl her eyes narrowed dangerously. It took every inch of her self-restraint not to reach for her wand and start an assortment of hexes, curses and jinxes her brother’s way until she couldn’t think of anymore. Heck it was taking all her restraint not to fling herself at Donald and start beating the ever living snot out of him.
Oh, that was not to say that she would not get her revenge. She would. She most certainly would. A plan had already formed in the 14 year olds head about how she would get him back for that and do so in a very ironic fashion. The Welsh witch was already looking forward to her payback for her dear little brother’s sexist comment. ”....why don’t we switch Donnikins” she simply said to her brother with a sweet, innocent little smile.
”....after all, if I am such a weak girl I should be the one firing the pillow first so that I can have a go otherwise I might not be able to do it.” she said mockingly at the third year Ravenclaw before a tiny smirk crept back on her face. ”Unless little Donnie Wonnie is scaredy waredy” the tone in her voice was as mocking as possible.
She would not make him suffer just yet. This would be all about the timing. Much like the task itself in some ways.

As his older sister narrowed her eyes dangerously he knew that he had gone too far. He could see that his sister was aching to leap at him and tear him into pieces. Donald knew that sexist comments would really wind her up and set her off why did he do it before a duel. He was meant to be a Ravenclaw but it is rather stupid to annoy Amy in such a way. He would apologise to her but that would do no good. She could be very stubborn.
He frowned at his sister as she asked him to switch. What did she have planned? Was she planning to hurl a pillow in his face right away for revenge? Was she that angry? He sized his sister up for a moment. She certainly seemed to be cross but he could tell that she had something particularly unpleasant planned for him. Don would be ready to defend himself however.
”I am not scaredy waredy” he said to his sister, taking the bait, ”Fine. Take your best shot Amy” he said, his eyes narrowing at her. The Welsh Ravenclaw would be prepared for anything. No way would he let his big sister get the better of him.

Amy smirked as her brother fell for the bait. In some ways she felt a bit sorry for him and that, maybe, she should let him off. Then again that sexist comment could not be left to go unpunished. No. She narrowed her eyes again rather dangerously in case he seen her face softening a bit and he wrongly felt that he was about to be let off. Still she didn’t really want to hurt him that much now. Although she was sure that her brother would soon say or do something again to change that. He usually did.
”Okay Donnie...” a wicked smirk crept on her face ”...just don’t say I did not warn you and don’t forget you asked for it” her smirk grew wider. He would still suffer. But she needed to do it when he would least expect him. To make it the most effective way to get at her sibling after all. To teach him to respect girls.
”Ready?” se asked. Before he could even answer she fired the pillow towards his face. This was not part of her revenge. Oh no. This was just an added bonus.

Donald felt very uneasy with the smirk on his sister’s face. He floated the feather into the air. Why did he have to make a sexist joke to his big sister? He knew that she hated them and it would wind her up. Well that was probably why the 13 year old did it actually....but to do it before a duelling class? That was just asking for trouble. He would have to defend himself as best as he could. The Ravenclaw was sure that he could take on a Gryffindor after all.
When his sibling asked if he was ready he was about to say ‘for anything’ but his sister launched the pillow right at this face before he had a chance to open his mouth. Upon reflection that might have been a good thing as saying ‘for anything’ might have invited himself to be left open for all kinds of cruelty and attacks from his older sister.
Don let the feather start to fall and, with some very quick thinking, shouted ”EXPELLIARMUS” at the pillow sending it flying backwards. It was just in the nick of time before he had a face full of pillow as well. The lad quickly focused back on the feather ”Wingardium Levisoa” he chanted before regaining control of his feather. The Welsh wizard was about to tease his sister again but thought better of it. He could tell she was still planning his revenge and he didn’t want to make it any more vengeful than it already might be.

Amy too some delight in seeing the worry on her little brother’s face as she launched a pillow at him. This was just for starters Her face twisted into more of a smirk. ”Nicely done Donnikins. Predictable....but nice” she said to the 13 year old in a patronising manner. ”Ready for round two?” she added.
And again before her brother had a chance to respond she hurled the pillowed right at him. Although aiming for his chest on this occasion. Again this was not her revenge in action just yet. That fun would be to come. Instead she was just trying to send him a message. In some ways thought she was very interested in what spell he would use this time to defend himself.

This time he was ready for his sister firing the pillow at him before he had a chance to confirm that he was ready and was keeping close attention on it. It didn’t surprise the 13 year old that Amy had again decided to use him as target practice and was seemingly trying to knock him off his feet with the pillow. He supposed he could use his skills as the Ravenclaw seeker to dodge the pillow, much like he would try to dodge a blundger.
Still this was duelling practice and spells were the order of the day. Donnie quickly tried to think up a spell to use to protect himself before his sister had the satisfaction of whacking him one with the pillow. What spell to use? What spell to use? he kept thinking to himself getting worried. The pillow was getting closer and closer to him. It was a real shame that Donnie sucked at Transfiguration as it did limit the spells he could use. Still there must be something.... Ah.... a spell suddenly came to his mind.
”FLIPENDO” he yelled at the pillow, sending it flying back towards his sister ”Catch” he said before quickly saving his feather from hitting the floor. He did feel a small bit of pleasure that he managed to get his sister back to some small degree.

Amy again enjoyed the panic and worry in her younger brother’s eyes. Torturing him was such fun and she hadn’t even started yet. Although if she was honest with herself her crossness towards her sibling was slowly starting to die down a bit. She would still get him back for his comments about girls but maybe in a more humorous and less nasty manner than she was originally planning....maybe.
It did impress and surprised her that her brother used the Flippendo spell and fired the pillow back at her. Nicely done Don she thought to herself with a tiniest of approving grins. She considered maybe she could use this as her turn but she did not have the feather. Instead she simply pointed her wand at the pillow ”Wingdardium Levisoa” she said as her levitated the pillow back towards herself.
”Did you do that intentionally Donnie wonnie?” she said in a mock stern voice ”Tsk tsk. You could hurt someone like that “ she told him before firing the pillow right back towards his face. ”Think fast Don” she called out as the object hurtled, one final time, towards his head.

Donald did note the small approving grin on his sister’s face when he did the flinpendo spell and felt, justifiably, pleased with himself. It was not that often, in these situations, that Amy would show that she was impressed by him. Maybe it was also a sign that she had cooled down, ever so slightly, at his earlier sexism. It again crossed his mind to start to apologise to her. Perhaps now, she would be more accepting and forgiving of his little transgression.
Her mock sternness also gave the 13 year old some heart that, maybe, just maybe, she had cooled off towards him slightly. Although the Donnie, wonnie name did irritate him a bit. He decided not to give Amy the pleasure of knowing that though. Instead he waited ready for his sibling to throw the pillow towards him one final time. This time she did give him due warning though.
The Ravenclaw already had a spell in mind for this one. He had his wand read y and waited for his moment ”CARPE RETRACTUM” he said as he whipped his wand towards the pillow and pulled it towards him. He then placed the pillow on the flow before levitating it towards his sister ”There you go Amys” he said with a small smile.
”...And....before I start...can I apologise for my sexism? I was only kidding you know and I am so sorry and I was only trying to tease you. I hope you didn’t get too offended and I apologise if you did. Hope you can forgive me for my childishness and I am sorry again....” he started off over apologising, once again. Until his sister shouted at him.
”Sorry...” he started again until his older sister gave him a cross and annoyed look. Donnie returned a rather sheepish little look at his sibling. He decided instead it be best to get going before he upset his sister again. He didn’t want a fight. ”Okay...Amy. You ready?” he asked as his voice lilted lyrically. Once she gave her conset he launched the pillow towards his older sister.

The Welsh witch watched her pillow fly towards Donald and was super impressed by the spell he used and the skill in which he used it to get the pillow. Her brother had always been good at Charms and it did show (just a shame that his transfiguration skills were absolutely awful). ”Nicely Done” this time she could not help but compliment the boy.
”Thank you” Amy added as she used her own wand to levitate the feather from Don. The Gryffindor lass looked at her brother when he started to apologise for his chauvinistic remarks. And apologise, and apologise, and apologise. The 14 year old was use to her brother’s over apologising but it was really irritating whenever he did it. Although he was always sincere in his apologises it was just too much.
”DON....” she shouted at her brother ”....PLEASE ENOUGH.” she give his a stern and disdainful look before softening ”But....yea. I forgive you. Don’t worry about it. Just please...stop with all the apologising. I keep telling you it not necessary.” in fact she felt that it was a little weird. In any case she was still planning to pull a trick on her sibling. Just nothing as nasty as before.
When he opened his mouth to apologise again she gave his a glare. That seemed to do the trick and her little sibling didn’t start off with another one of his apology fits, as she called them. Instead he asked if she was ready. ”Go on...” she said waiting for him to fire the soft object towards her.
He did so, and with considerably less force then she did at him. Partly because his magic was probably weaker than hers and partly because he wasn’t actually trying to knock the Welsh witch in training off her feet.
The fourth year released the feather for the time being and let it float towards the ground while she pointed towards the incoming pillow. ”DEPULSO” she chanted, deciding to demonstrate some magic that Donnie would not know. With a flash of red light the object was returning back towards her brother, in the same way it would if a summoning charm had been used. Amy then returned to levitating the feather

Donald was glad when his sister confirmed that she did indeed forgive him. The 13 year old did feel like hugging her but resisted the urge to do so. That would not only have been embarrassing for both of them but would have been too much of a sign of affection and he did not believe it to be appropriate at this point in time.
The Ravenclaw seeker watched as the pillow headed towards his sister and wondered what spell she would use to defend herself against the oncoming pillow. It didn’t really surprise him that his sibling reached into her fourth year playbook and used some magic he had yet to learn. It was typical of his big sister to rub it in that she knew more magic than he did. Also a characteristic Gryffindor trait, showing off... he thought to himself and decided to keep that opinion to himself. He had already apologised for almost starting a battle of the sexes without now provoking house rivalry. The sibling rivalry was bad enough.
”Nice” he commented as he caught the returning pillow. He did try to sound like he wasn’t too impressed though. ”Maybe you could teach me that?” he asked somewhat unhopefully. His sister seemed less keen on teaching him spells. He wondered why.
Donnie decided to shrug it off for now and instead smiled towards Amy. ”Okay. Ready for the next one?” once the girl gave the affirmative the spiky haired boy tossed the pillow back towards her. He wondered what she would do this time to show off.

Amy watched as her brother caught the pillow and his attempt to sound cool over her showing off. Although she felt that it was fairly clear that he was impressed by her spell. She made a mental note of that. ”Hmm....” she said in response to her brother’s question. She never really fancied teaching Donald magic spells. Not only was she not a teacher and did have concerns of getting it wrong and ending up with the spell backfiring and hurting the duo but she quiet liked the idea of having knowledge over and above that of Donald.”....perhaps not” the Gryffindor said with a small, apologetic, smile.
Thankfully her brother did not seem to be taking her rejection too badly. ”Ready” she said when he asked of she was. The pale skinned lad throw the pillow towards her. She concentrated on the feather before a bit before aiming her wand at the incoming object ”Accio Pillow” she said. This might have been a mistake as it increased the speed of the incoming pillow. With a bit of quick thinking the 14 year old yelled ”FILPENDO” taking a note from her brother’s book she send the pillow speeding back towards her sibling. The Westwood girl barely managed to keep the feather back up either.

Don still could help but feel a bit disappointed when his sister rejected the suggestion to help him learn the slightly more advanced spell but it didn’t surprise him. He simply shrugged it off and carried. Although he did note an apologetic smile from his elder sibling something which she did not normally give. Perhaps she was feeling a bit bad about the earlier tension between the pair.
Still he tossed the pillow to his sister and wondered what spell she would use. It did come as a bit of a surprise to the 13 year old that she used accio. While he didn’t know the spell exactly he was aware of it enough to know that it brings items towards you. So, therefore, in the Ravenclaw’s opinion, it was not much of a shock to see the pillow speed up towards her. A tiny smirk crept on his face but he quickly hid it lest he start a fight with his sister, again.
In fairness to Amy it was quick thinking to use Flipendo even if it did send the pillow back at Donnie at some speed. The 3rd year ducked as it went over his head and hit the wall behind me. ”Careful Amy....” he said feeling the top of his own head ”...You could have decapitated me there...” he added jokingly.
The Welsh wizard picked up the pillow ”Ready for the final one Amy?” he asked before confirmation. He throw the pillow to the Gryffindor one last time.

Even Amy did manage a small giggle at her brother’s comment about nearly taking his head off ”I will be more careful in the future, Donnie” she told him reassuringly to him. Still the look on Don’s face as the pillow flew towards his face was quiet amusing for the young girl.
However he younger sibling was kidding himself if he thought he didn’t see his smirk at the accio gaffe though. The 14 year old was not going to hold it against him though. She knew that she would have done very much the same thing if the shoe had been on the other foot.
That said she was going to use this opportunity to get revenge on her brother for his earlier sexist comments. While the Gryffindor had forgiven him for his comment it still didn’t mean that the 4th year was going to let him get away of it. Of course, the revenge now was not going to be as mean to the Ravenclaw boy as it would have been. It was going to be more like a harmless prank against him instead.
A plan had formed in her mind of how to prank him. It would probably work out better for her anyway. She guessed that attacking her brother would have gotten her a detention and a howler. Maybe a harmless prank would allow them to get away with it. Then again she fully expected that her brother would retaliate against her. The Gryffindor lady was prepared for that as well.
”Okay Donald, fire” she said trying to hide her grin. She waited for the pillow to just leave Donnie’s hands before intentionally misaiming her wand and saying ”Aqua Eructo” a spout of water shot from her wand directly at Donald’s crotch creating the impression that he had wet himself. She knew it was childish but she couldn’t help but giggle as she dodged the pillow and let the feather drop to the floor.
”Hey, Don, it looks like you had a bit of an accident...” she teased ”..you must have been scared of hurting a girl after all” she couldn’t help but comment back. This was revenge, yes, but Amy now kept her wand pointed at the brother. This would also mean war. She just hoped it would be relatively friendly.
