Dear Mister Remus Lupin,
'Ello! I'd ask how you are but I feel like communicate in some shape or form almost daily, so i doubt much has changed since the last time we spoke/wrote. I want to thank you again for everything you've done for both me and for Theo. I'll be thanking you for years and it still won't scratch the surface of our gratitude. I owe you both my life and my sanity, I'm certain I wouldn't have made it through the whole house arrest thing without your visits and midnight excursions.
While that's important, it's not the point of my letter right now. It actually has several points. First and foremost, you know that I know about your condition from the last time you were 'sick'. I know that you're missing a very integral part of your life and you did so much for me that I'd like to do something for you. I don't think that you should 'wake up' from your transformation alone. I know that the Prophet is trying to make this full moon sound scarier than all the other full moons and I don't know how much truth there is to it, but I know that when the sun rises that you're going to be the same person that has shown me such incredible kindness and empathy. I'd like to stop by the next morning, if that's alright. I can patch up any wounds that need tending and I'll bring coffee and muffins. I imagine the after effects are sort of like a hangover, maybe coffee would be good for it?
And the second point, sort of ties into the first. Eoin and I read the new policies or laws or whatever the Ministry's put out and we're completely beside ourselves. We're outraged for you and for all the Beings. It's bullying at best, an awful abuse of power at worst. I don't know what the Minister is trying to get at. Eoin's a pharmacist and a potioneer and he was saying that wolfsbane was already expensive and difficult to come by. The Ministry meddling is only going to be worse. We want to do something, to help others fight back in a way.
We were thinking that maybe we could brew Wolfsbane ourselves. The hospital's got a bit of it, so Eoin thinks he can make it. I know this is asking for a lot of trust, but if we go through with this we were wondering if you wouldn't mind testing it out the first month? And helping us get it out to others afterwards.
Maybe we can meet sometime soon to talk about it?
Your Friend,
Mali
