Luna looked up to Remus Lupin and respected the man as a teacher and as a person. Because of this, it was a nasty shock when she found out that not only was he familiar with the duo responsible for Frank Longbottom's death, but he was actually befriending them. That Professor Lupin escorted them to talk to Harry after having known about their role for several weeks and being all together tight lipped on it. It was a deep betrayal on his part, Neville didn't deserve that. None of them did. Maybe Luna didn't care for Mr. Longbottom the way the older Order members did but he was important to Neville and therefore important to her.
She was unsure of what she was looking for as she drifted down the side street towards the Victorian style home. It was charming and most times Luna would find the sight of the warm family house to be endearing but it only made her feel cold inside today. A family man could cuddle up to cold blooded murderers. Liars. Or victims of a terrible curse. She wasn't sure what the truth was but she wanted someone to blame and she couldn't very well blame them if she believed in their innocence. Deep down the former Ravenclaw knew she was being unfair but strong feelings like love tended to twist people around and make them think and feel things they wouldn't normally.
It wasn't long before she was standing on the door step, fist curled to knock briskly on the door. Night had fallen and the air had grown unsually frigid for this time of year. The wispy blonde witch shivered and pulled her patchwork jacket tighter around her thin frame and braced against the chilly air. Her nose had gone red and her fingers felt like icicles. Despite all this when Tonks appeared at the door Luna managed a weak smile for her, it wasn't her fault her husband consorted with killers. The girls greeted each other with hugs and the standard hello, how are yous before the woman, sporting bubblegum pink hair that Luna thought suited her very well, led her to the study that Remus Lupin was tucked away in.
The former Ravenclaw knocked politely on the open door, clearing her throat to gain his attention. "Hello Professor Lupin." her voice was even and quiet, void of all the feelings of anger and betrayal she felt. Luna hovered in the door way, pulling her jacket snugly around her waif like frame even though the house was quite warm. "I'd like to speak with you if you can spare a moment. I hope you don't mind the intrusion? I should have written I suppose but I don't always think clearly when I'm emotional." Despite her spectacular outburst at The Homestead Luna was not a confrontational person and found it hard to edge into the needed conversation. She glanced at her feet, toes wiggling in her comfortably old and worn trainers.
After a moment she looked back to the man. Even when hesitant she was very well spoken. "I want to understand how you could befriend those people." she spoke of them like she didn't know Theo intimately. "After what they've done."
